if you want to go with a wine theme you could do wine bottle stoppers or wine glasses. if you want to do something that is edible and related to wine, you could try to find chocolates filled with wine. a local winery near me has these and they’re good.

these aren’t from the winery i was talking about, but in case you wanted to look into the chocolates idea.

I like the idea of giving wine charms as a favor… you could make pretty simple ones for everyone and then they would be even more personal. My friend gave us wine stoppers a few years back and I still use mine all the time. She chose to give a nicer one but I’ve seen cheaper options that haven’t held up as well.

Truffles! They go well with any alcohol…

I’ve seen mini-rose plants that can be both centerpiece, and favor…

I second the bottle stopper idea – thats what we did for one of our favors!  We ended up with copper maple leaf stoppers that were packaged in little boxes.  I attached the place cards to those and left them out during cocktail hour for folks to find their seats.

I would go with something edible. We did truffles for ours and they went perfectly with the wine we were serving and everyone loved them. I have gotten a bottle stopper as a favor before, but seeing as that doesn’t actually save your wine and we don’t drink a whole bottle at once, it hasn’t been used at all.

If you want to lean more towards the rose aspect, you could do little bottles of rose flavored simple syrup with a card with recipe ideas- it’s great to drizzle on crepes, use in cocktails (mix it with campari and lemon juice-YUM), or just mix it with soda water for a summer cooler.  It would be really inexpensive- you could buy a bottle of rosewater, and then add it to simple syrup (just sugar and water).  The only thing that cost anything would be the bottles.

I have four wine bottle stoppers from weddings gathering dust. My wine charms that I got as a gift gather dust as well!

I would do the wine in chocolate! That’s what I would want.

What about Brix {I think this is the name}. It’s chocolate that is supposed to be paired with wines. I’ve never had it, but I’ve heard it’s really good. They sell it at World Market.

I love the idea of the rose simple syrup. Great idea, Amandopolis.

Rose syrup…what a unique idea!  You could also use your printer to print custom candy wrappers with roses on them and wrap around chocolate bars….names/wedding date and beautiful vintage rose pictures………or you an also use giftwrap too!

I’ve been beating my head against a wall for sometime now for something new that hasn’t been done too many times and my one of my BM and I came up with this potential idea……. a scratch off lottery ticket in a pretty small bag of some sort with a tag that says " MAY YOU BE AS LUCKY AS WE ARE……" Now, I’m originally from Las Vegas having the wedding in NYC so it kinda ties in that "theme" as well. Just an idea we are throwing around not sure yet….also I saw in Collin Cowlie’s book an idea of having a "goodnight" bag if your having an evening wedding with advil (small packet),bagel& cream cheese bottle water ect… cute but could end up being pricey.
