I love reading advice columns, and used to love coming here to live vicariously through other people’s wedding problems and advice. Now that I done with wedding planning, the wedding aspect of this site is less appealing but I still come on to for the advice-column-like aspects of many posts. Do any of you regularly read advice columns that you like and care to share? I read Dear Prudence on Slate and Carolyn Hax, am not really a fan of the older-style ones like Dear Abby or Miss Manners. xoxoxoxo

OMG these are totally my guilty pleasures! You named all the ones I read, but Prudence and Carolyn are my favs, though I’d read pretty much any of them.

Yep, Prudy and Hax 🙂 I also like The Ethicist (NYT). I’m chuckling to know that others have the same guilty pleasure as I do!

This isn’t a print advice column but I highly reccomend the Dear Sugar podcast!! It is a collab effort of Cheryl Strayed, author of the book Wild (Which I also highly reccomend!) and Steve Almond, who is a writer. It is very much the same format as a readable column, and they usually address two or three letters each podcast. I love love listening to them!! Also i you are set on reading instead of listening, I do believe they always have the transcripts for each episode posted on their website or facebook page 🙂

Laineygossip has an advice column for fitness, baby names, and general (that one is actually a podcast.)
