Favorite: A nice purse with an umbrella in it. Pretty and practical.
Least favorite: Tissues monogrammed with the bride’s new name, the jewelry I was expected to wear for the ceremony, measuring spoons.
I’m working on a great gift for my girls, but I want to make sure I’m thinking outside the box! I have assembled a “goody bag” with some essentials (a pair of pearls, shot glasses, little compacts, etc. in these cool canvas totes I got on Etsy) but I’m trying to think of what else to put in the bag. Makeup? Flasks? Booze? What kinds of things would you actually like to receive as bridesmaids?
I don’t have much more to spend on them, but I feel like I need something bigger to put in there.

Favorite: I got a nice pashmina that I can wear to fancy events. It’s not smething I would have spent money on myself, and I do use it pretty much every time I go to a formal event.
Least favorite: Pretty much every piece of jewelry I’ve received as a Bridesmaid or Best Man I have never worn. I am picky about my jewelry.
I think what I would really love is a gift certificsate somewhere, like a spa!

Favorite: a monogrammed mini-leatherman (with my initials). LOVED that gift (it was for the entire wedding party) and I used it all the time!
Least Favorite: Jewelry to wear on the day of, purse to carry on the day of.

Favorite: Earrings. I actually loved the earrings and they are real : )
Least Favorite : An empty picture frame..lol..
I’m doing ‘goody bags’ for my girls. I bought them thirty-one bags..and I’m filling them with things they use.. I know they will love it!!

Least favorite – all jewelry… like PP I am picky when it comes to that!
I bought my girls coach purses and am filling them with hair products and makeup I know they use (their specific shampoo/conditioners, MAC compacts, eyeshadows, Moroccan oil, etc), cute tweezers, nail polishes, fav candies, their signature scent perfume, swarovski cyrstal bracelet (not to wear at wedding), mini day of emergency kit, bottle of their fav booze. I’m sure they will love it!! I know I would if I was on the receiving end!

I was thinking of adding a nice Essie nail polish, a bottle of something they like to drink, and maybe a gift card to Sephora or a wristlet that they could carry even after.
So this would be the gift:
Cool screen-printed canvas bag filled with:
Pearl earrings (not required to wear)
Some costume jewelry I grabbed from Charming Charlies (not required to wear)
A nice bar of soap
A personalized note
Eh? Thoughts? Add/Subtract something?

Favorite: I had a bride that gave us tons of gifts, ranging from our jewelry and day-of emergency items (e.g., tide pens and kleenex) to candles and other home items. But the one item I’ve used time and time again were the “Footzyrolls” – rollable ballet flats. I wore them the night of her wedding after my heels started killing me and at tons of events since then. Much cutter than flip flops for a “my heels are killing me” situation. I’m going to get these for my girls, in addition to other items: http://www.footzyfolds.com/lt-span-style-quot-display-none-quot-gt-a-lt-span-gt-silver-footzyrolls.html
Worst: Not getting one!

Favorite: Tie for (1) Bride paying for the bridesmaid dress. It was hideous and the only time I wore it again was at a Halloween party. I was SO GLAD I didn’t have to pay for it! (2) Vineyard Vines tote bag
Least Favorite: Really ugly flip flops!

@WhiskeyEverAfter: All sound good to me! I’m doing something similar for my bridesmaids and hope they like it!

I have only been in one wedding as a bridesmaid and the gift I got was cheap fake earrings and a bracelet that gave me a rash oh and no thank you..not even a verbal one..lets just say we are not friends anymore!

@WhiskeyEverAfter: Ooooh good post! And you have fantastic gift ideas!
Least favorite: wine glass engraved with the bride and groom’s name and wedding date. Haven’t touched it since the wedding over a year ago.
Favorite: clutch from Coach. I am notoriously cheap when it comes to buying brand name stuff so although I never would have bought one for myself I had always wanted one!
