I really like all of them except Mia. I think of Mia as a shortened version of my own name and too "cutesy," just my opinion.
I voted Emily, but I also love Madelyn and like Lily.
I think they are very extremely popular right now! I chose Madelyn because it's the one I've heard the least lately. :)
@AmeliaBedelia: Lily and Madelyn are my favorites out of the list! You're right about Mia sounding like a shortened version of Amelia..I thought that too..but I still kind of like it..it is probably too short though.
@laynamarie22: I was soo set on Madelyn several years ago -- pre-FI -- but FI's last name makes it a no-go. :/ Lol. Yeah. I mean Mia is a cute little girl name, but I just don't see it aging too terribly well. Ya know? I love Lily too! I know one of the cutest kids named Lily. I voted Emily because I perceive it as being the least used currently (though this is not based on stats at ALL, just kids I know).
@AmeliaBedelia: Do you think Lily would translate well to adulthood? That was my only concern about that name...otherwise I love it!
Of thse names I think Madelyn ages better, she can be a cutte Maddy until she becomes a teenager.
@laynamarie22: She could be Lillian and called Lily until she wanted to perhaps change it. I know a few Lily's from childhood that now go by Lillian.
I goes for Emily but like them all except mia for the same reason that it sounds like a shortened version of another name.
Ahhh I want to cry. I soooo want to named my imaginary daughter MIA. I love love love the name. I drunkenly told my SO about it because I was nervous he'd shoot it down so I just kept it to myself hahaha but he liked it. So I'm biased!!
@MissTX: Mia is still a pretty name! It reminds me of the character from The Princess Diaries :)
Lily is so popular now...but as long as you don't have Sophia on the list...I swear a few years ago literally EVERYONE I know that was pregnant named their daughter Sophia...I was so sick of it!
Emily is one of my favourite names - in fact, it's one of the two girl names we have chosen if this little bub turns out to be a girl!
Madelyn I used to love - but not that spelling. I prefer the original spelling of Madeleine as I can't help but pronounce the Madelyn spelling as Made-lyn. We would have kept Madeleine on our short list but it seems as though every second girl baby I know now has a name that is shortened down to Maddy (Madelyn, Madison, Madeline, etc).
Mia and Lily are pretty too - not my favourites but I don't dislike them either.
I know a sweet little baby girl named Miya. It's pronounced Mia, but whenever I go to say it out loud I always want to call her My-ah.
Similar to PP above me, Madelyn looks to me like a very nice name. If it were Madeleine I would say it differently, like that cartoon/book character. This way seems more like Lynn than Line.
Anyway, that doesn't have a lot to do with your post. I voted Madelyn! Love it!!

I LOVE Lily and I hate that it is so popular now!! I liked it since the tv show Step-By-Step and they named their daughter Lily. So pretty!!

Ok so I did re-think a lot of the names on my list after you guys gave me feedback. So, I have come up with a new list..one that I have put more thought into but I still would like your honest opinions!
