@elliestan: I've never heard of any of those names as names. Is bathtub pronounced like a bathtub?

    lol

ETA: Oh crap, you *were* joking, right?  I feel sort of awkward and uncertain right now....

I have a pretty strong affinity for the following names:

    Girls

    • Ariel
    • Emma
    • Ava
    • Amelia
    • Hannah
    • Kathleen

    Boys

    • William
    • Henry
    • Fraser

Aside from Ariel, I'm pretty boring. But can you even imagine if we had a daughter named Ariel McBride? The Irish Catholic mermaid? LOL!

Curious to see what other Bees like!

For boys we like Nathan and Evan. DH's middle name is Evans, it's also his dad's middle name, and was his grandmother's maiden name. Not sure about middle names.

For girls we like Madeline (it was his grandaunt's name) and Eleanor (Ellie for short). Middle name for either would be Grace (his grandmother's name).

DH really loves Adam and Leah, but I'm lukewarm on both of them. When we first started TTC, Jackson was on our list, but I've cooled towards it over the past year, and it doesn't help that it's so popular. But it sounds great with our last name.

    Girls:

Kara (this is our #1 choice for a girl)

    Kate

    Jillian

    Julia

    Violet

    Elsa

Adelaide (but my sister has "called" Addison so I think this one is out)

Boys: (we haven't picked a favorite - boy names are hard!)

    Owen

    Evan

    Will

Ted/Theodore (admittedly, my husband is not into this one, but I like it!)

Heath (my husband's middle name and his grandmother's maiden name)

*also I wanted to mention that our VERY FAVORITE name of all time is Charlie (for girl or boy) but we used it on our dog three years ago! We are still tempted to change her name and use it for a baby. Does that make us bad doggie parents?

    For girls:

    For boys:

I love Max, DH does not. The only names we agree on are Myles and Charlie

    I love Danger! Tongue out

I love L names, perhaps it's because my name begins with L, but I never liked my name growing up. I don't really have many boys names on the list--I guess I think more about girl names. Oops.

    Girls:

    Layla
    Lela (pronounced lee-la)
    Lola
    Ella

    Zoe
    Georgia

    Boys:

    Miles
    Max

    Grand Winners:

Girl: Billie Evelyn Jazz (not our real last name :) I'm not a fan of Evelyn, but DH wants to honor his great-grandmother). Our daughter would have DH's initials

    Boy:
Louis "Louie" August Jazz (Our son will have my first and last initial. We wanted him to have my middle initial but couldn't think of a D name that we liked and I love the name August. It also has special meaning since our wedding anniversary is in August and we found out we were pregnant in August.)

We are having a hard time with this already!

Girls - we may have an agreement on Nora.  Also in the running is Josephine (Josie), Sonya, and Phoebe

Boys - considering John (after DH's deceased father), Brad(ley), Tyler, and Brett

    @MrsJazz - LOVE Billie : )

I like unusualy names when I first hear them, but then I think about being in a store and calling out, "Echo, don't touch that. Come here." and the looks I'd get, lol, and I rethink my love of weird names.

    Boys

Benjamin (but then I hate Benji and Benny, though I like Ben)

    Leo

    Eli

    Levi

    Seth

    Girls

    Livy (Olivia)

    Eve

    Elizabeth

Ember (though that would be one she'd spell every day of her life)

I feel like I can share our names here since no one knows who I am! Lol only 2 people in our family know a few of our names.

    Boy:

    Patrick (my DH's name)

Benjamin (more my pick than his)

    Maxwell

    Girl:

    Annabelle

Eveline (may be a middle name)

We don't have many, but we love the ones we have!

My absolute favorite girl name is Kari, pronouned kah-ree, not like Carrie. FI is iffy about it, but hopefully by the time we're ready for kids I can convince him. ;) I also love Elizabeth, Natalie, Catharine, and quite a few others.

Boys names, I like Matthew, Micah, Ian, and Steven. FI is completely in love with the name Cole but I really don't like it... no offense to anyone who does but I'm putting my foot down on that one, so we can't talk about boy names or he gets all mad that he can't have Cole, haha.

@panterapeach: I worry about that too. I have an Abigail and that was not a popluar name 10 years a go when I picked it and then all of a sudden it boomed. I am hoping that won't happen again:)

ETA: I have a whole list of names that I love, but are too poplar:(

@hisgoosiegirl: Love that these are some of your favorite cow names you've used! My mom was the 7th child in her family (and 5th girl) so I guess my grandparents had run out of names by then, so she was named after a cow my grandpa had named when he was little - Marcella. I have always loved that story. :)
