I always liked Olay Quench. It doesn't leave me greasy, but I know it does for my mom, so it depends on skin type. I would have said Aveeno, too, but again, I guess it works for some but not others. What about Vaseline brand?
When I really need some moisture I use B&BW Lay it on thick but it is greasy and in between (daily) I just use their normal lotion and I love it and it smells great!
I use Jergens, but if you are willing to spend a little more Kiehls creme de la corps is awesome!
I like Olay Quench! It's affordable and really moisturizing. I also like that it has a hint of shimmer--kind of fun! :)
I like Curel Ultra Healing. I wash my hands about a million times a day and it really keeps my hands moisturized! and it's not heavy and greasy!
I use the Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion (with a green top). I just recently switched. I was using Curel, but found it too heavy and sticky. Aveeno was recommended by my brother's doctor for sensitive skin.
I love the Neutrogena Norwegian formula Body Moisturizer!
I use Origins Precipitation Extra...especially on my extremely dry elbows. I've been using it for about 1.5 months and my elbows are getting as smooth as a baby's bottom. I love that stuff.
Update... tried the Olay Quench - left me sticky (but not as bad as the Aveeno). Yikes - what's up with my skin.... going to go down the list and keep trying!
Burt's Bees Milk and Honey Body Lotion. I've used it for years and wouldn't think of using anything else!
How about Cetaphil (in the jar)? This is good for all seasons. Wintertime I usually use the intense moisurizer by Aveeno (that you didn't like -- it is too sticky for non-winter seasons).
I love Bath and Body Works "Lay It On Thick", and "Shea It Isn't So" Shea Butter is amazing :)
I currently have curel. It worked really well for my hands, but its just meh on the rest of me. I really like Johnson and Johnson Deep Hydrating though!
Im sort of cheap on lotion for some random reason but when its worth it I will spend the 4-8 dollars ( law student budget) anyways, Curel First Sign of Aging Lotion and that line is nice, I think. Also, for a nice lotion at work or perhaps in your purse to unstress before heading somewhere - try Johnson and Johnson Stress Free Lotion ( its a name around those lines, its purple on the outside)
I am a huge fan of Cocoa Butter - Palmer's - honey it works miracle
On a budget? Consider Whole Foods Lavender Body Lotion for about $3.00 a decent bottle. Not on a budget, Crabtree & Evelyn's Lavender Hand Therapy Lotion
No matter what you use, on the inside is what count - make sure you hydrate especially after a liquid night :) and consider herbal teas to keep stuff healthy.
Hope this helps - after so many years of being into girlie products cant wait to have a nice income to keep my options open.
Anyone try the Vaseline Aloe & Cucumber Hydrating Lotion? Ive been dying to try it.
@glitter- ditto on the aveeno.
i rarely use lotion, even though i really should. my hands are in chemicals and stuff all day, and they get really dried out, but i'm too stubborn. i hate the feeling of lotion.
alternative to lotion: olive oil. i use this in the thick of winter. it stays moist for hours!! but isn't as clunky as uber thick moisturizer. my mum spoke to a dermatologist who said it was better than any fancy moisturizer you get in the store - so just raid the kitchen!
My favorite body lotion is: Heavenly Body (sheer liquid lotion) by Victorias Secret, it has such an amazing scent and it leaves my skin super soft! :)
My dermatologist reccos Cetaphil. I get a generic equivalent at the drug store. I love it.
Dr says any lotion with mineral oil or petro-anything is VERY bad for you, especially Vaseline.
I love Dove Energy Glow lotion. Using Dove Sensitive Skin shower gel helps a lot with keeping my skin moisturized too.
I have eczema and Eurcerin does wonders for my skin :) I also love using unrefined shea butter.
For everyday I like Eucerin. My dermatologist recommended it and I'm a fan. If you have time to let it soak in and want an "ooooh...you're so soft" reaction from your man...try Ahava. It's expensive and not the fastest absorbing, but it smells really good and makes your skin so incredibly soft.
I actually use a lot of vaseline. Plain old vaseline in the jar. A woman I used to work with was almost 50 and looked like she was in her early 20's because she used vaseline on her face every night since she was 25. I was hooked...
For silky yummy smelling lotion: I love BBW Sensual Black Currant lotion
For pure bliss: Any of the Body Shop's body butters! Their lip butters are fab too :)
I'm about to run out of my all time favorte lotion. I used to work in the spa industry and got things wholesale. Even afer I quit, I ordered through a friend but now I don't have anyone to order with and its too expensive retail. It's Kersten Florian's Vita Lotion. So good and I spray the chammomile body spray over it.
I also love Laura Mercier's Creme Brulee Body Creme. The smell is yummy and it is very rich.
I'll have to check out come of the others mentioned here.
@ arizonabride - that laura mercier creme brulee body cream sounds lovely...mmm.
Cetaphil.
My dermotologist recommended it.
She says to never use anything with mineral oil or petro anything on my skin or lips.
Luckily, Cetaphil is very cheap and you can get drug store brand equivalents.
For budget-friendly lotions, I really like Keri Lotion and Nivea -- really rich and creamy, and Nivea is not greasy at all! I also love Burt's Bees Baby Bee Buttermilk Lotion -- it smells sooo good and it feels great!
I use Curel most of the time. But the Aveeno with the pink top is also amazing- the label has the word oil in it, but it is sooooo far from an oily cream. It is actually the lightest lotion I've ever felt- it soaks in as soon as you put it on, so it moisturizes but isn't heavy or greasy at alL! Put it this way, I wear it because I live in Florida, and when you put lotion on in humid weather, it usually just sits on your skin. but this one really absorbs into your skin!
I swear by Cetaphil! I have sensitive skin but i can use this right after I shave. Wally world has an Equate version so it is not very expensive.

I used to use Lubriderm's Advance Therapy Body lotion for Extra Dry Skin (the pink top). I loved the stuff and then they changed the formula and it's too greasy on my skin.
In attempts to find a replacement, I've been trying different lotions and haven't found anything I like.
I'm working through some Aveeno recommendations, but their products leave my skin sticky (I've tried the intensive moisture (maroon) and the skin relief (dk blue). The pink one (creamy moisturizing) is good, but I don't feel like my skin gets really moisturized.
Would love to know what you use and why you love it.
