I love the Smokin' Stampede sauce by President's Choice (Loblaws) here in Canada. Omg. It is INSANE! We also really enjoy the Jim Beam bbq sauce.
@bakerella: Hmm, I know we have the Jim Beam sauce, but not sure about the other one. I will add it to my list.
Also never had BBQ chickpeas. Was hoping I had navy beans, but it's either chickpeas or black beans tonight. My goal for today is not to leave the house.
I normally hate BBQ sauce, but I loooooove Rudy's Hot Sause from Rudy's BBQ. I know you can buy the bottles at the restaurant, but I think they sell it online too.
We generally use sweet baby rays for our pulled chicken, but sometimes we use Sticky Fingers Memphis Original. When FI and I first moved in together (when we were 19) we used Jack Daniels BBQ sauce on everything. To this day, I still cannot eat it because we had it SO much! :)
Sweet Baby Ray's is the only kind I'll eat. Ken's and Newman's BBQ just don't do it for me.
@KatyElle: The only time I like Ken's is when I am using it to dip chicken fingers in :)
I'm happy to see so much love for Sweet Baby Ray's. I have yet to try a kind from them that isn't great. Sweet and Spicy is my new favorite!
I was all ready to come into this thread and introduce you the wonder that is Sweet Baby Ray's. Clearly its reputation precedes me, lol. I love that stuff. Before I discovered it, I hated bottled bbq sauces, and would just make my own. I'm hooked, now, lol, and I can't remember the last time I made any bbq sauce from scratch.
OT, but @KatyElle:, I can finally see your new avatar, lol.
Choose a bottle that uses molasses as one of their top ingredients (per Americas Test Kitchen-which by the way has the best product reviews!)
Sweet Baby Rays is often rated high in consumer tests and is the one I keep on hand. Its reasonable priced too
Otherwise make your own. It really is very simple (especially in a crockpot) and you can adjsut for your own regional preference of BBQ style sauce.
Sonny's Sweet Sauce! I always buy a bottle when I am in FL and bring it back to Jersey with me....that good.

@lefeymw: It is inexpensive! I think we paid $1.89 yesterday for a small bottle.
We use the "Fooducate" app for iPhone as well - it lets us actually scan the barcode for nutritional info and ratings. It grades all products and helps us make informed decisions in a hurry. For the most part we do try to eat clean and healthy.
I do like making homeade BBQ sauce on occasion. It just seems like everytime I am craving BBQ, I need it immediately, haha!
@Lindsay12.31.2010: ooh I never heard of that app. What phone is it available on?
@lefeymw: I'm not sure, DH and I both have it on our iPhones. I don't know if it is available for other phones. It is a pretty cool app!
@Lindsay12.31.2010: thanks
P.S. if you are making the recipe in the crockpot, you dont need to make the BBQ sauce first. You can throw it in and it will meld into BBQ sauce at the same time your meat is cooking.
Sweet Baby Ray's!!! I have one in the fridge and 2 more bottles in the pantry (I make sure I never run out of it!)
We usually get the Famous Dave's Devils Spit but it sounds like we might have to try Sweet Baby Rays sometime!
@lefeymw: Oh, that's a great idea! I wouldn't have thought of that.
We love Sticky Fingers or Maurice's BBQ sauces. Sticky Fingers can be found in the store. Maurice's is online.
I order my BBQ sauce online from a company in Savannah. I used to be able to buy it in the local grocery stores there but now that I live in California I order it online.
Johnny Harris BBQ. My favorite is the Carolina Mustard and the Original.

I like Stubb's original--it's a bit on the thinner side, and not too sweet.
Famous Daves here also. As I write this I just finished off the last of the pulled pork I made in the crock pot 2 days ago (minus the bun of coarse..dieting)
But now I am dying to try Sweet Baby Rays!
@luvmyDwight: We just had pulled chicken sandwiches in the crock pot with Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet and Spicy sauce. SO good!
I'll go off the beaten path here and vote for Bulls-Eye ;)
I also LOVE Jack Daniel's, both original and spicy.
I also love Sweet Baby Ray's. Another brand I love is Show-Me Bar-B-Q Sauce, the taste is very similar to Sweet Baby Ray's in my opinion. It's a small, local company. You'll be able to find it in all the local grocery stores.
I like Sweet Baby Rays and Stubbs. Not a fan of Hunts or KC masterpiece. Always wanted to try the Dr Pepper flavor (not sure who makes it) but haven't had the chance. Anyone know what it tastes like?
@Lindsay12.31.2010: I HIGHLY recommend Famous Dave's BBQ Sauce!! They have a few different flavors, depending on whether you like the sweeter or spicier - and you can order them on their website! Yummmmm!!!
@KatyinWaiting, you can find Famous Dave's bbq sauce in any grocery store, even if there no restaurant in the area for a hundred miles or more. Plus, you don't have to pay for shipping and other costs that add up.
Oh my goodness I've never heard of Sweet Baby Rays, what am I missing out on? I just use good ole Krafts Thick & Spicky Original. But apparently I need to upgrade.
Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce is almost exclusively local/regional to me, but if you ever see a bottle of it in the store, buy one. Or two or three. I promise, you won't be disappointed.
I was going to say Sweet Baby Ray's! And also any of Sonny's sauce. Yum.

DH and I love anything BBQ (tonight I am making crockpot pulled chicken sandwiches and BBQ chickpeas) and I love trying new sauces!
What is your favorite? Any kind you DON'T like?
I love Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet and Spicy sauce, and their Hickory and Brown Sugar. KC Masterpiece is good too.
The worst I have ever picked up is Arthur Bryant's. It tasted like straight liquid smoke.
