I LOVE watching Food Network! Seriously, cooking shows are among my favorites. My absolute favorite "celebrity chef" is Paul Deen! I adore my Paula! I have a Paula Deen knife set and cookware and I love it! And absolutely all of her recipes look delicious to me, and the ones I've tried absolutely are! But then there are people that I cannot watch. Mostly Giada De Laurentiis. I find her very annoying and she seems like she's exhausting to be around. She also pulls her lips back WAY too far when she talks and smiles. Haha.
So, bees, who are your favorite and least favorite celebrity chefs?

I am so in love with Bobby Flay. I have such a crush on that man and his cooking! I also love Paula Dean and Aaron Sanchez....I am NOT a fan of Rachel Ray or Giada...Their personalities drive me bonkers. I do however, like their recipes.
James Oliver - the Naked Chef. I was always amazed at what he could just throw together, especially in that teeny tiny kitchen. It also doesn't hurt that he was absolutely adorable.
Totally know what you mean about Giada's mouth! It's like it hurts for her to say "spaghetti"! Nadia G from Bitchin' Kitchen is probably my fav; least favourites are Curtis Stone and Guy Fieri
@elliestan: Haha, I know right! My FI hates Guy Fieri but I actually think he's kind of amusing in a very douchey way.
Sandra Lee annoys me like no other. I want Ina to host a dinner party for me.
@CarolinaCola: lol yeah i guess i can see that! i don't know if he counts or not but i cannot stand Andrew Zimmern. If he does, I change all of my hate to him and add Tony Bourdain to my fav pile. :D
@LGenz: I was just watching Barefoot Contessa! That's why I made this post! She does seem like she throws a classy dinner party, but I'd feel too "common" to be in her company. Haha.
@elliestan: Of course Andrew Zimmern counts! I think he's pretty cool, but his show disgusts me, so it's a little difficult to watch. I really like Anthony Bourdain, too.
I love Gordon Ramsay. I'm not sure why but I think he's just the best!

I LOVE Anthony Bourdain. Like, no-so-secret obsession love.
When it comes to cookbooks, though, Giada has some terrific recipes.
@imalittlebirdie: Oh my gosh, right?? He's so weird! I can't even watch that show because I'm like "Why is this man so serious about a cupcake??" Haha.
@imalittlebirdie: LOL! I first learned about Ron Ben-Israel when researching wedding cakes so when I saw that he was the Sweet Genius host? Let's just say some people should stay behind the scenes.

I think I like Gordon Ramsay so much because he really does like to help people get better but he absolutely will not take their crap. And watching him actually cook is amazing.
Geoffrey Zakarian is my current favorite!
He's absolutely amazing! The guy made a 5 star caliber meal. In the woods!
Watching the Next Iron Chef now, you gotta if you love Food Network!
ETA: Don't get me started on FN chefs I do NOT like!

@PitBulLover:I love seeing him amused too. We watch all of his shows but Kitchen Nightmares is the best because there are so many moments where you can tell by his face that he's thinking WTF are these people possibly doing?? Love it.

I also love Anne Burrell and Beau MacMillan, I'm really into the Next Iron Chef right now.
@jimbert321: I really like Anne Burrell too. She reminds me of my FI's mom, but her hair isn't quiiiite as awesome. Haha.
I like them all :) But I really like Cat Cora, I think she always makes Iron Chef look badass.

@CarolinaCola: XD!!! Before DH and I were engaged, we used to watch Food Network together (most interesting late night stuff to us after work). We would always catch DDD after he introduced himself, and I NEVER knew his name, so I just called him "Happy Fat Guy"... I almost DIED when I found out his real name was "Guy".
Alton Brown is awesome in a geeky kind of way. I also get a kick out of watching the Neeleys. Sometimes though, they get too cutesy.

@vmblai1019: Haha. You and I seem to agree very much about Food Network! My FI always laughs about the fact that Guy Fieri's name is Guy. The other day he was like "I bet his parents were like 'What are we gonna name this little guy? Oh I know! GUY!'" Haha. I really like Alton Brown and his geekyness. Good Eats is an interesting watch. And I was watching the Neeleys earlier and I was like "Awwww...ewwww." Haha. It was cute, and then they took it over the line.
And NO! I had not seen that. That is soooo funny! Thanks for sharing. Haha.

Really, though, I can totally zone out to the Food Network, it doesn't really matter who's on. I do have to mute some of them, though.

Love: Racheal Ray, Ina Garten (her recipes are so simple!!), Bobby Flay, Paula!, Julia Child...
Hate: Giada de Laurentis, The Neelys (so fake lovey and awkward, I feel like they're gonna strip down and start doing it on the counter... enough.), Robert Irvine, Sandra Lee, I would never make any of her recipes, and she emphasizes all wrong words "Now we're going to put these INTO the oven for TEN minutes, and they'll be great for OUR party"
I love: Nigella Lawson (she's pure filth), Sophie Dahl, Heston Blumenthal, The Hairy Bikers, Tom Kitchin, Levi Roots, Nigel Slater, Angela Hartnett, Mary Contini.
I respect/can watch: Gordon Ramsay, Keith Floyd, James Martin, Nick Nairn, Jamie Oliver (although his cookbooks are REALLY insulting to his wife).
I hate: Delia Smith, Rachel Allan, Gary Rhodes, Anthony Worrall Thompson.
