Okay, I loved the cartoon thread...so favorite Childhood toys? I have a huge list but one I just thought of that I get so sentimental about...

Teddy Ruxpin!!!! I had the bear, the tapes, the videos, the books...oooo I loved him!

Anyone else have one? and what else bees? I think this list will be fun.

Also, if it helps I was born in '87 so he was probably something I had early 90's

I had a stuffed lamb! I got it for Easter one year and I still have it. I liked Barbies too when I was younger.

krissybee  I had that last thing too, but mine got really nasty!

I also played with cabbage patch dolls and my sister's had a little dent thing in it's mouth to "feed" it, so I made my dad drill a whole in mine's mouth and then ended up getting sticks stuck in her head!

Ah. . .Love this thread. I'm going to throw Kiddo's out there, if you don't mind. She has a Lamb from Ty (one of the bigger ones) that she has had since she was in the womb. An Aunt sent it and it's in so many pictures through her life - like at the ocean when she was 4 or when we went on a last minute trip to the Grand Canyon, or the first time she went on date night with FH when she was 6 and she tried to feed him chocolate fudge ice cream. We call him ChopChop and she still sleeps with him at night. Poor guy, he used to look like this:

@kate6214-I TOTALLY had those.  I had the plane, houseboat, and parking garage.  I loved them and am now really sad that my parents gave them away 'cause now I want them for my future kids!

@RosieGirl, I had three of those horses! I loved them!

My whole life I've kind of been an obsessive collector, so I have boxes upon boxes of My Little Ponies, Care Bear figurines and stuffed animals, Grand Champion racehorses (http://www.grand-champions.com/, they look a little different today than they used to), Littlest Pet Shop (http://www.hasbro.com/littlestpetshop/en_US/, also look much different today than they used to!), Puppy Surprise (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=55HSWUMbSFE), Pound Puppies, Matchbox cars and tracks (all the little boys loved me), and Baby So Beautiful dolls (which were SO neat because they were all unique and realistic-looking!), and then, from later, Ty Beanie Babies, Ty Plush dogs and cats, and Pokemon trading cards.

My favorite, though, was always the My Little Ponies.  I have hundreds, and still love to look at them at Target and stuff (I admit it).

I had waaay too many crazy girly toys.

My friends would not and do not believe when I tell them half of the pink and frilly things I have around, or even that I collect barbies.  Then they see my room at my mom's, full of dolls, and then they see the N'Sync dolls.

I get the weirdest look...  They haven't seen my collection of polly pockets. >.>

Anyway.  I still have this strong urge to go buy random toys.  Especially if it's one I always wanted, but never got...  I should probably get that checked out.  BF doesn't like to take me shopping... I figure if he's going to lose me, at least he knows to check in the toy/electronics sections, and if not there, the nearest clearance rack...

I had a friend who was into a lot of animal toys, like (Animal) surprise.  When it first came out, I was excited, oh wow, birthing puppies/kittens!  But my friend, she got it, and man.  It was a letdown.  You don't reach into the gut to pull out babies!  What's wrong with you, toymaker?!  I was super-disappointed.

    OMG!!

@kate6214- I still have the peoples "main street" my mom took it to her work (she works at a childrens hospital) for a while, but she brought it home the other day so we'd have it for my kids. I was SO excited.

I also still have my pound puppy. My FSIL bought me a pink my little pony for christmas, and glo worm rocked!

@Krissybee-what is the name of the last picture you posted? I totally just found mine six months ago while my mom had a garage sale. I had to keep it! Mine was turqoise.

@nexus6- I totally had kitty surpise! Bur I always wanted the one with five kittens and mine had 3.

I was totally a barbie girl. I had a mansion, lanundry mat, supermarket, clothing store, beach house, gazibo (sp?), and a bunch of cars.

    I was spoiled.

My Little Ponies (my favorite of all time), Pound Puppies, Lady Lovely Locks... also I can't remember the names of a few of them, oh darn it!!

ATTENTION: Does anyone remember the BIRDS that were kind of like My little ponies, and they had REALLY long colored hair on their tails and their feet would grip things?!

    What were they called?!

Also, the dogs & cats that were made by Hasbro and were along the same lines as My Little Pony?!

Does ANYONE know what I'm talking about? It's driving me nuts!

Too many to name...but the two that made my FI laugh until he cried when I gave him the backstory are:

    A big yellow Tonka dumptruck

-I was an AVID mud pie chef back in the day and needed something to haul my "flour"...AKA dirt to the "bakery" aka a piece of wood in the sun in the back yard....LOL! It was one of the big metal ones too....man I loved that dump truck.

    A slip and slide...

-sing it with me bees.."First you run run run...and turn the water on...and off you go...a'slidin' on your tum...." LOL. He laughs b/c I still know the jingle for the commercial.

As you can tell, I spent a lot of time in the great outdoors...
