That's a tough one--I love spicy Thai food and I'm a big fan of Indian, but I couldn't eat those every day. I'm Italian and I could literally eat nothing but Italian food for the rest of my life and be happy--fat, but happy :)
It depends for me too.
But I most often go for sushi, so I voted Japanese.
There is an AWESOME fusion sushi place right by my apartment, so that is definitely my favorite.
Italian is definitely my favorite by far but sometimes I'm in the mood for some good Chinese or Thai or Indian food (that's what living in SE Asia for a summer will do to you - sometimes I start to crave it).
My fiance and I LOVE Indian food...we usually have it once a week!! My fiance is Kenyan and there is great Kenyan restaurant not too far from us....that would have to be my 2nd fave!
Sushi, sushi, sushi!!! I love all of the others (except African, haven't really gotten to experience that one) but I still have a definite favorite. :-)
Italian. I'm so hungry right now by the way. I can literally taste Alfredo right now.
I chose other because its a 3-way tie between Italian, Chinese and Japanese/sushi. Mmmmm.... sushi.
Does Mexican count? Cause it's definitely my favorite. I'm kind of a boring eater, so other than Italian, I've either tried and not liked the other foods or I've never tried them.
I would have to agree that for me it's Mexican. I could eat a burrito, tortillas, and mexican rice everyday! <3
Absolutely Mexican. I could eat it everyday (and practically do...lol).
All of them. Including Mexican. Mmmmmmmmm mexican......... I love thai food a lot too. What I love about Toronto is that we're really culturally diverse so it's really easy to find any of these foods in a local grocery store and learn to make them ourselves too :)
All of them...but I love the spicy freshness of Thai food. YUM
It's a tough choice for me, between Mexican and Thai. I don't think I can choose.
Such a tough call! I love love love Thai & Indian food, bt I think my love of good butter chicken & naan wins.
i voted italian, but i eat it so much i don't really consider it "foreign" :P i eat mexican allll the time too, yum! and indian, though i tdon't eat it as much as i'd want to bc hubby isn't as much a fan.
likewise, i would say thai food too, but hubby ALWAYS wants asian food, and i get really sick of it

so, my favorite "foreign" food is definitely thai!
I could eat any and all Spanish/Latin cuisine every day. Paella..yes, please!!
I voted Italian, but I do love sushi and Indian! And Chinese! Okay, maybe I just love food...
@bree72: I LOVE paella! I have never had it in the U.S., only in Spain but I would love a big plate of it right about now. And tapas...and chocolate con churros...y sangria...Spanish food is so good!
I loooooooooooooooove good Thai food, as well as middle eastern/greek (gyros, schwarma, falafel - seems like I see a lot of similar options on menus of restaurants advertising different countries' cuisine, so I'm not sure what's from where exactly!), Indian, sushi........ ah now I'm hungry!
Also a big fan of Korean and Chinese foods, but haven't had much luck finding "good" Chinese or any Korean restaurants since moving back to the States. I can't eat Americanized Chinese food, it's too greasy/deep fried/inauthentic!
Oops i thought I had put mexican on the list... i must have left that out by mistake. I've added it now though!
Just had sushi for lunch.
DELICIOUS brown rice salmon avocado roll, miso soup, and edamame.
I eat it 3-4 days a week at work for lunch. Only $4.50 for the fresh made sushi and soup combo.
Indian - I love briyani, and Ethiopian - special lamb tibs. Yummy!
Wow, it is way too hard to chose! I love Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Italian!!! But most of all, I LOVE GREEK FOOD!

Inspired by the breakfast thread.. whats your favorite type of foreign food?
I personally cant decide because I'm in the mood for different foods on different days. I love spicy indian food, thats definitely up there on my list
