I love Organix hair care products. My favorite so far has been the Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner. It doesn't have any sulfates and smells amazing!
I am obsessed with Mrs Meyers everything. The countertop spray, the laundry detergent, and the scrub are permanently in my house. For wood, we use Method Wood for Good in the almond scent (it smells divine).
I just switched to Burts Bees Royal Jelly Day facial cream (not 100% org) and have been very happy with it. I tried one of the Pangea Organics facial moisturizers but it wasn't heavy enough for my post-peel + cold winter weather skin. I will probably try it again this summer since it's very light. I think it will work well with my summer oily skin.
Try nimli.com! A great resource for green beauty products, clothing, shoes, etc.
I love the organix shea butter conditioner and the coconut milk conditioner and split end mender. They smell sooo good!
Mmmm I forgot about Organix! It is yummy. And it's more affordable than most green products!
I love the Aveda hair products (and always get my hair cut at an Aveda salon! it smells so good!). They also make awesome hand and foot lotion.
Burt's Bees chapstick - how has no one mentioned that yet? I can't live without its minty goodness!
I'm testing out natural body washes right now, haven't found my favorite.
I tried to switch to natural face products (even found an all natural moisturizer with SPF!) but my face is too oily for them and they just make me break out. Any suggestions?
Having worked for SHISEIDO and truly believing in their product, I was reluctant to try anything else. A few months ago, I was introduced to ARBONNE and not only has it been great on my extreme skin type - that has it's own category (extreme oily - extreme dry) - but it's GREEN!
Funny about Aveda. I get my hair cut at an Aveda salon and my FI thinks it smells so good, he now gets his haircut there and comes home with a TON of products. he smells fantastic! :-)
I chime in for Aveda too!
OR if you've never tried them, LUSH! I can't really use their facial care products because they have oils that my skin doesn't react well to, but everything else they do is absolutely amazing.
I love Aveda too (and I work for them!) Their hair products are the best and I also LOVE their lotions. Most people like the hand and foor relief, but I love the Replenishing lotion the best and the Beautifying oil.
I also love LUSH. They have some great solid perfumes and I love their soap that has sand on one end. Great buffer for skin.
Oh Mrs. Bee! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Terressentials! They are made in MD and the ingredients are nothing but plants.... just real, actual plants. It smells wonderful too!!! Not only do they only use organic stuff but it's all food grade organic because they feel if you would put it on your body then it should be good enough to put in your body. It's super wonderful! Hope you find something that works for you. :) http://www.terressentials.com/facialcare.html
Great post, Mrs. Bee! I made the switch to completely natural beauty products about 2 years ago, and I'm always dying to hear what others use and love.
I use Avalon Organics shampoo and conditioner (which are OK -- I haven't found shampoo and conditioner that I LOVE just yet), Bare Minerals makeup (which is not organic but is at least checmical-free), and Origins/Burt's Bees skincare products. I also love the Clarisonic because it gives the results of a facial but you can use it with any skincare prodcuts that you'd like.
My favorite green product at the moment is Method's Almond Flower body wash -- it smells soooooooo good. Many natural products have the same range of scents (lavendar, lemon, etc.), and I've found this product's smell to be a nice change from the old standbys. :)
I second Terressentials products! A lot of products market to be "organic" and "green" but Terresentials is one of the few vendors that offer products that are certified USDA organic.
The Organix shampoo actually gave me dandruff :( I actually just started making my own shampoo (only takes two minutes!) because despite claims that shampoos make to be organic there are a ton of ingredients that are lab created. Also, it's really cheap to make your own body scrub!! I use a mixture of sugar, aloe vera gel, jojoba oil, and any essential oils I have on hand and it works great. Mountain Rose Herbs (www.mountainroseherbs.com) is a fantastic vendor that sells organic products if you are ever interested in purchasing ingredients to make your own skincare products. I have also found Mountain Rose Herbs to be very active on their Facebook fan page. They respond very quickly to any question you may have and give great reference to reading material that may assist you.
Green leafy vegetables, which are great for a slim healthy figure, are also amazing for your hair. Sweet fruits like oranges and apples, and dairy products, like yogurt and milk, are also considered beneficial for rich, healthy looking hair.I love shielo for my hair by the way.

The past couple of years I've been making an effort to be greener and more conscious of my health. We try not to use plastic (all our tupperware is glass), we only use organic cleaning products like Method, Mrs. Meyer's, Tom's of Maine, and we try to buy organic/antibiotic free meats and produce when possible.
I'm trying to make the switch to organic skincare (been using Dr. Hauscka, but don't love it), and I haven't really delved into the world of organic makeup and hair products yet.
Are there any green/organic beauty and/or other products that you love?
