I personally love French Press coffee.  Nothing better.  I think Keurig tastes sort of plasticy and I agree about the sheer amount of waste.

We are boring, just use a regular manual brew. I would love to get a French press though

well i have a manual brew, keurig, and perculator. I switch around. My favorite may be the perculator…it tastes so good! I love the keurig but I can’t afford it all the time

We use a automatic drip but we grind our own beans every morning.

We also use a French Press for the weekends. We also have a espresso maker.

We have a couple French presses that we use for ‘normal’ coffee and we have an espresso machine that I use when I feel like a specialty coffee. I really prefer the taste of those options over the other. We have a traditional drip machine that I never use, and I have a Keurig at the office, but I find I don’t love the coffee from either of these options. The Keurig does come with a reusable k-cup option, which I use often at work. I agree all the plastic waste bothers me as well.

At home, I use an espresso machine (Ranciliio Silvia), and in the office we use a French press. We got a toddy brewer as a wedding gift and I’m looking forward to using it for cold-brewed iced coffee this summer (I have been using a French press at home to make cold brewed in the summers, so I’m interested to see if the toddy really gets better results).

Keurig first, french press second. I have never enjoyed drip coffee for some reason.

Most days, I just make a regular manual brew automatic drip pot. But I LOOOOVE my french press and don’t use it as much as I could. The strength of the pressed coffee is great for a long day. And I love those acids and oils. 😉 We grind our coffee every AM.

I also loved my mom’s perc but don’t have my own.

@mrsSonthebeach:  I kind of feel the same way about my Keurig. I was really excited to get it and thought the coffee would be SO MUCH BETTER. It’s the same but I still like the ease & convenience.

I prefer a French Press but we lost ours!

I actually took the keurig off our registry for that reason. :  We have a percolator at home that is excellent for the weekends. And I just started using ‘bagged’ coffee (like the stbx Via but folgers makes a much cheaper one) that will do in a pinch on work mornings.
