What is YOUR favorite homemade baked good that you make yourself? (Favorite one to make, give, serve OR eat...)
Mine is definitely banana bread. Fresh, from scratch banana bread.
Share recipes if you have them!
me too i love banana bread!!
closely followed by brownies [ but these i make from a cake mix]
Pumpkin pie!!!! Completely homemade (no canned pumpkin here). Yummm now I'm hungry for some
haha yes, but it's all year around here (can't get enough of the stuff)
I have so many, but just a few are banana bread, homemade bread, and peanut butter cookies :-)
I love challah! Just made one today for Yom Kippur dinner. My hubby's favorite is peanut butter and jelly cookies. He could eat them for days, and does.
I love to make (and eat) brownies! I have quite a few favorite recipes for them as well...
My mom's mango bread. Heaven and memories :) She froze some mango puree so when I go home for the holidays w/ Mr. Swiss in tow this year....it's on!
Haha I saw the thread and immediately thought Banana Bread. Or Zucchini, theyre both awesome. I also love making cookies and brownies, and these aren't really baked goods but zeppoles or beignets are soooo good.
Ooooh! So many to choose from! It's a toss up.... red velvet cookie sandwiches....triple chocolate cookies...pumpkin pie....cheesecake....and, well, any kind of bread...I'm a carboholic!
pumpkin cheescake, toll house cookies with Special K cereal (it makes them SO AWESOME), brownies, fudge, anything with chocolate, really.
Huge, moist, warm, sticky cinnamon buns.............mmmmmmmmmmm it's the key to my heart.
Definitely cheesecake! My second favorite, the muffins I make that are JUST like the carrot cake bread you get from Mimi's Cafe.
my signature chocolate chip cookies. took me about a year to make the recipe perfect ,and it is! Also my Nana's babana bread and my best friends mom's brownies. They are the brownies all other brownies wish they could be. mmm can you tell i'm hungry?
@vistagirl: i would love to get my hands on your chocolate chip cookie and brownie recipes...
I love to bake. I made a killer banana bread not too long ago from scratch. But I also love making brownies from scratch. OH YUM!
chocolate chip cookies! I use the recipe on the back of the nestle bag, but I use half real butter and half crisco and they come out perfect (IMO). Using all real butter makes them too thin and kind of greasy. Using all crisco makes them taste a little off. Using all margerine makes them dry. 1/2 butter 1/2 crisco is the way to go. :)
Gingerbread! Not the cookies, but the soft kind that you bake in a casserole dish. It's SO good.
Chocolate chip cookies, banana bread, apple pie, peanut butter cookies, anything that isn't cake! I looove to bake! :)
I made vegan yellow cupcakes with chocolate frosting last night. They were delicious!
I love a nice hote apple crisp at this time of the year. It is raining today and chilly and I would love to sit by the fire with some yummy apple crisp!
hmm.. where to start???
Right now my favorite homemade bake good is Oatmeal cream pies. OHHHH they are so good, I think they are WAY better than the boxed kind.
This time of year, all I can think about are fall flavors. Pumpkin Gooey Butter Cake.... YUM!
OK, so after reading all of these I'm craving sweets!!! Everything sounds so delicious!
My favorite is my chocolate chip bar cookies with a layer of cream cheese in the center. Hands down, my favorite dessert! I make them every year in December and my husband and I go crazy. :)
Apple Butter Pumpkin Pie and Strawberry Milk Chipsters (cookies)!
Soft gingerbread cookies with hard royal icing on top as decoration. Mmmmm. And they look awesome too!!
To give: Flourless peanut butter chocolate chip cookies!
To eat: Monkey bread!! so buttery and delicious
i love baked goods; nomnomnom. i have never had a bad baked good recipe from simplyrecipes.com
Coconut macaroons are near the top! Also my grandma's homemade donuts. MMM! Oh and my other grandmother's molasses cookies.
Which is why Christmas rocks, I get to make and eat all three!
hsaas91: do you mind PM'ing me your recipe for flourless peanut butter cookies?? I am so intrigued
