I saw this in the NY Times around Valentine's Day in an article about New Yorkers (past and present) and love letters.
It is from a letter from Mark Twain to his wife Olivia

I love it!
I like this: "Ubi tu Caius, ego Caia". It means "Wherever you are Caius, I Caia, will also be there". It was what the Romans said to each other when they got married.
