TheGridMonster: Hmmm. That could be true. I never thought about that before. I’m probably OK, overall, because I don’t think my fingers are particularly short. I’m sitting here staring at them and thinking they aren’t particularly long, either. Maybe they are just kind of average? (Wish I wore an average ring size, though. >.O) Hands look really weird when you sit and look at them for a while — LOL!
ClaudiaKishi: Oh gosh! I LOVE blue shades. I end up buying them pretty much whenever I see them. I’ll have to look for the Essie one you mentioned, although I have not had the best luck with that polish brand in the past. Also, a dark burgundy or purple sounds so pretty! I’m totally jealous that you can wear peachy, pretty corals. I can not wear any tones in that color range. They tend to make my fingers and hands look weirdly red. It’s super bizarre.
HappySideUp: That color sounds super pretty! I’m going to go look it up to see the swatches. (Even though you said they aren’t quite the same as IRL, it’s better than nothing for a quick color fix. )
graygodess20: Red!! Love the look of red nail polish, but I absolutely can’t seem to wear it. I always think it looks terrible on me. Maybe I just haven’t found the “right” red for my skin tone. But I also think I don’t have the self confidence to pull it off. It’s such a beautiful and bold color. I love, love, love blacks and almost-black polishes. They are some of my favorites.
purrrbaby: Va-va-va-VOOM! I love it!! “Vampy colors” is a perfect description.
Squirrelz15: Ha, ha! Thanks for the vote of “color confidence”! I need that. I get really paranoid about stuff and tend to overthink things. I love darker colors, in general. I’m going kind of spring-ish tonight, too, though. I decided to use China Glaze’s “For Audrey” on my nails. I swatched three different colors and let my daughter pick. It was the one she liked the best. It’s never the wrong season for a Tiffany Blue sort of polish, right?
Daisy_Mae: Oh, ouch!! That sounds painful both physically and emotionally. It’s so annoying to break even one nail, but having so many break at the same time would be super frustrating. I will have to look up “Vixen”. It sounds very pretty! I tend to do an almond-ish shape for my nails. Kind of between almond and “squoval”.
wrkbrk: I’ll bet those colors are gorgeous on you! I’m totally jealous that you can wear light pinks. Those colors are so pretty, but never look good on me. I love the look of nude polishes on other people, but I never like it when I try it on myself. I think my skin is too light, so it kind of freaks me out for my nails to be the same color as my skin. I’m totally weird — ha, ha!
