@SoontobeMrsAM:  i’m in this conundrum as well. i keep hearing that french is so outdated, so for the wedding i’m wondering about peachy/pinky colors.

this isn’t nude, but the color Rose Bud by CND Shellac is a really nice rosey pink color. it’s a definite pink though, not a translucent pink or nude.

My favorite light pink color is Sally Hansen’s “Hard Core Party”. It’s very inexpensive, and I get so many compliments on the color. This was a home nail polish job that was about 5 days after I had painted my nails, but this is the color.

I love (and wore on my wedding day) Red Carpet Manicure’s Simply Adorable.

@SoontobeMrsAM:  Essie “Ballet Slippers” for pink, and “A Crewed Interest” for nude/beige-y.

I wish I could remember the Gellish nail colors I’ve worn. I’m definitely going the Gel route for my wedding, especially since my salon uses the LED treatments instead of UV to harden.

I really dislike the milky pink/beige polish look.  If you want something neutral but a little different, try Butter London “All Hail the Queen” (was called “All Hail McQueen” originally, but then Alexander McQueen committed suicide and they changed the name…)

It is a taupey beige with silver holo glitter and it is fabulous.  It is the only neutral polish I own, and probably will ever own!

Essie Ballet Slippers, or Essie Mademoiselle for something a bit more sheer.

@vermonster:  I agree! I love ballet slippers.. Here it is on my nails, but it looks more taupe here due to the tinting on the car windows

OPI Bubblebath is my favorite nude.
Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs. is another good nude

Second OPI Bubble Bath.  Sometimes I do Essie  Marshmellow in between layers of Mademoiselle and Waltz for a much more natural looking “American” manicure.

i’m getting french for the wedding/honeymoon.  but i used to get OPI Pinking Of You when I traveled because it was a light pink and no one would notice if it chipped.

OPI Tickle My France-y is kind of a nude/pink.

Pinks: OPI Catch the Garter or OPI hopelessly in love

As for a straight nude, OPI Samoan Sand is pretty amazing.

If you’re having them done, you could always have them do a pale pink shellac/gel! I think that’s what I’m going to do.

I love OPI don’t burst my bubble. It’s fairly transparent so it looks a little like a french manicure. Only problem is that I can never keep nail varnish on for very long. I always chip it within 24hours Frown

I’m constantly looking for a nice one in a brand I can wear for longer than 24 hours. I would rather DIY my nails rather than pay for a manicure & shellac
