I was just browsing through some of my old photos and thought this could be a fun thread :)
Here is one of my fav photos that I took while driving on 5 (leaving Chico).....

Quite literally, "the grass is always greener on the other side."
What are some of your favorite photos that you've taken?
This is not a picture I took. My favorite picture I've taken was in eighth grade of the Empire State Building and is in a frame at my mom's house. But I love this picture that my fiance took when we were about to go home from the trip we got engaged on. I don't like snails but I just think it's a really good picture.
My favorite changes a lot, but my current favorite is this one:

I took it in Mexico on the same beach that my FI proposed to me on, and I had a canvas print of it made to hang over our couch. I also won a contest with it (on pioneer woman) that allowed me to buy a new lens I'd been coveting. So, the photo has been good to me.
Another favorite that is related is this one:

This is the actual spot he proposed in. I named it engagement cove :)
This one is my "funny" favorite, I took it at the cleveland zoo.

And these two were tied for my favorites before the Mexico pics took their spots. The first one is in Arizona right outside the grand canyon, and the second one is at the Red Rocks near Vegas.

I dunno why those are smaller... :/ oh well!
@Corgitales, that sunset picture is terrific! Did you have use any kind of filter to get that shot? What kind of lens did you use?
@stephinPA: Thanks!
@pinkshoes: Thanks! I have a canon rebel xti and I took the shot with a 10-22mm lens. No filter. Here is a link the metadata on flickr if you're interested in the settings: http://www.flickr.com/photos/clerksgrl/4060113538/meta/ . It was really that gorgeous. I cropped it slightly and add a very slight boost to saturate and that is IT... basically all nature there!
@corgi... *jealous* that is a niiiice lens! My friend has let me borrow his Canon DSLR and that lens when I go vacation. I can't wait until I can get my own.
Here's a few of mine:
This is Alma, New Brunswick on the Bay of Fundy. The tide was waaaaaaay out. I actually took this from a moving car!

This was a place called Cape Enrage, Nova Scotia. It was gorgeous. I think the oldest lighthouse in Canada is there, but we were terrified to drive our RV up the hill, plus it was too foggy to see anything from the top anyways ;)

DH took this one in an ice cave in Gros Morne National Park, Newfoundland. Not bad for a guy who doesn't know his way around a camera!

I love this one of my little Glory Bee.
I have more, I just have to find them....
Here's two of my fave's: One is Bayon in Angkor Wat, and the other I took as I was going around an onramp on the way to work morning.
Wow these are some really nice photos. Corgitales, your sunset photos are amazing. And Bakerella, that is a ridiculously awesome picture of your kitty. :-) I just want to pinch her cheeks if cats had cheeks. Maybe rub her belly instead? And prewitt and pinkshoes...those snow shots are amazing! Snow seems like one of those things that can be really hard to capture, and those are great.
Here's some various pics I like...:-)
This is in Zion National Parkin Utah. Such a beautiful place...I think one of my favorites.
Those are both from upstate New York, and my first time actually seeing colorful leaves. It was very exciting.
And just one more...it's more silly than pretty. But my fiance, friend, and I drove from California to New York when we moved here. This is the beginning of our trip...we're in different states (I'm in California, she's in Nevada). It's a photo that always makes me smile. :-)
@bakerella: i'm a sucker for a cute cat pic :)
@pinkshoes: the lens was a definite splurge, as it literally cost as much (or maybe even a little more) than the camera body itself... but its my FAVORITE! Plus its already won me $250... if I can find two more contests to win it'll pay for itself! heh
Here are some of mine! I had the Eiffel Tower printed onto poster size with a large background and some text at the bottom. I also have a large version of the Oriental lily in my office.
I love pictures! I'll play!
Most of the pics are from my family camp, and then the one of the light house and of the ferry boats are from around where I work.
HOLY some of these photos are AMAZING ladies!!
Here are some of my favorites :)
I couldnt find the ones i took of the Rocky Mountains :(
@Baileyh: you just answer things so well no one else can possibly reply ;)
@CorgiTales ohhh good one *laugh* seriously i thin kI have killed about 20...lame!! *laugh*
@Baileyh: You didn't kill it. You re-invigorated it.
Here are mine:
I just got a DSLR a few months ago, so I'm still learning! Here's one of my favorites though -- one of our kitties:

This is one of my favourites - I took it while we were walking through the snow in Sweden - we were on our way to go tobogganning.

@lilacwire: I can see why! Your dog is SO cute!
Seriously ladies these are ALL gorgeous photos!!! I am going to look for some of my own now :-)
Oh this is a great thread!!!
Here are some of my favorite pictures that I took:
A field in Reigate, Surrey, England
A Footpath, Reigate, Surrey, England
A church, Stratford Upon Avon, England

Harbor Springs, Michigan
I love this picture :"]] I took it on the way home from Havasu Lake
KatNYC2011 The praying mantis one (?) and the water one are crazy!!!
Not professional pics, but they are all from when we visited my FI family in wisconsin in January...very cold, lots of pretty snow! It was good to come home to texas though lol

These are my favourite photos of mine, at the moment:
1) This was taken in Vegas, in the washroom of Sushi Samba. It was just so... Vegas.
2) This was taken at the Sky Dome (refuse to call it Rogers Centre) at the last home game for the Toronto Blue Jays this summer. It was also our beloved manager Cito Gaston's last game with us, and they were giving speeches and presenting him with gifts at this moment.

3) This was taken in May at my five-year university reunion. I had lots of memories of this classroom, and it just seemed so eerie and still when I peeked my head in.
4) Every October in Toronto there's an event called Nuit Blanche, where artists set up exhibits all around the city, and you can walk around all night looking at them. This one was a big chalkboard, and they had volunteers coming up to you to ask, "Where are you going, or where are you coming from?" And they'd write your answer on the board.
@HoneyBear LOVE your pics...the ballgame one is gorgeous!!! and i totally know what you mean about the classroom!
@Baileyh: Thanks! Those were both from Costa Rica about 6 years ago. I couldn't believe I got those with a little point and shoot canon digital!
@Baileyh: Thanks! (you wrote @HoneyBear but i'm pretty sure you were describing my pics :) I LOVE your photos, especially the rings and the little girls. Stunning.
@KatNYC2011: Love your photos too! I took mine with a Canon Sure Shot and I cannot get over how good it is. Almost every photo is awesome! I can't recommend it enough.
