They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and now with a thousand ways to incorporate your pictures into your wedding, choosing those perfect engagement or everyday photos is tricky. You want one that make you look good (even the Mr. is picky about how he looks!), has an aestheticly pleaseing composition, and reflects your personalities. I'm looking through pictures of Mr. Bookworm and I and I'm having a hard time choosing one....
So, I would love to see what you guys have used. Here's a chance to show off those beaming smiles and romantic moments. Post what pictures you chose to show off the two of you, and explain why you choose it! (I love hearing about the sappy stuff!)
Once I find ours I promise to post it too!
This is my favorite pic of DH and myself. This is the photo that I included in our invites. I don't know why I like it so much. Prob cuz hubby has a genuine smile on his face and I'm actually pleased with how I look too. I dunno. I just like it!

My favorite picture of us was taken in Balboa Park, too! It was such a beautiful day, we just kicked off our shoes and layed back on the lawn. This one has "us" written all over it... easy-going, fun-loving, and comfortable. :o)

This is such a cute post! Here is my all time FAVORITE pic of us! This was during our Europe trip and when we got to Venice my FI (then BF) surprised me with a gondola ride! Our gondola driver took the picture and I love how we are just approaching the bridge, I think its just perfect!

Taken in Kuwait the day after the proposal. I love it because we are both happy and his head is straight (he's usually the one snapping these photos and lots end up with a silly head tilt).

hehe! Seeing my epics remind me of how much I love Russell. It makes me just wanna cuddle him! *Squeee!* Oh and the last one makes me smile really big b/c it's proof that even when I look like death in the AM, he still lubs me. :D

Ever since we took this picture, I've loved it! I have it framed and sitting on our computer desk. I get choked up just looking at the picture, knowing that is my future husband and future father of our children. I can't imagine my life with anyone else. Also, of course, since we live in St.Louis, we are HUGE Cardinal fans!!!!

We won't have our engagement photos shot for a couple of weeks, but this is my all time favorite photo of FI and I!! It was taken last year at his brother's wedding!! I have it framed and on my dresser!! I just love it!!!

I don't have any that weren't taken by someone else for their own memories. >_> We're not picture people. Neither of us likes taking pictures or being in them, so when we go places, it doesn't even cross our minds to bring a camera to document it (at least not until after the fact).
I know our parents will insist on a photographer at the wedding so at least we will have pictures of that? lol
Sometimes (in those weird moments at 4 am when you wake up unexpectedly and can only think bad things) I wonder exactly how much I would regret the lack of pictures if something were to happen to him. (Obviously not as much as I would miss him, but having no way to "see" him again would add to the devestation.) I want to be more proactive about it, but habits are hard to change. Aside from the really morbid stuff it would also just be nice to have an album to leaf through together, remembering things.
Lilivati - I would just like to give you a different perspective, I rarely took pictures of myself and family until the 2nd year of dating FI. One day I realized that I didn't have any nice pictures and that I wanted them for my future children. My mom has only one or two of her in high school, 10 of her as a kid and about 15 of her wedding. I want more! So, that's why I sort of go overboard now. If you're not planning on having kids, maybe your siblings are and would want some of their super cool aunt and uncle! :)
Wow, I can't believe both of these are between 1-3 years old... time really does fly by... anyway... I picked the first b/c it captures who we are. ;) The second, b/c I'm told it shows how much he adores me. =)

The first pic, I'm being really bashful...because it was our first "kiss" and it was captured on camera! hahah. We had been "talking" for a month or so...and I had not allowed him to kiss me (not even a peck on the cheek!)...it was his birthday so I gave in heheh. I will forever love that shot :) and it was 4 years ago.
The second pic is one of us recently, I just love the lighting!

This is NOT the most flattering picture of the two of us. But its the only one I found where we are not "faking" or "posing" the smiles. We were at Holiday World, and had this biggest time with my little sister (whom is a bridesmaid) and her friend.
The second picture is a Epic. It's my fave
Camping last September. It was SOOOO cold. Our tent was pretty close to the fire and we're still cuddled togehter. Our hair isn't done, I have no make-up on. But we are together so nothing else matters. Plus you can see my ring. ;o)

I love this post, everyone has such great photos!! Well my favorite is of course my avatar. This was a few weeks after we started dating, we took a walk around my neighborhood and it started to snow, so all the little flakes around us are snow flakes coming down.
The 2nd is my opening night for my show, he always supports me no matter what crazyness I get him involved in.

My favorite pictures are from our engagement shoot in Knoxville, TN. It was freezing that day, but we had such a great time. They're my favorites because they're the most genuine.
I have only a few pics since most of the time we have to resort to taking the pics outselves, and that doesn't generally work very well lol
This was at my Junior prom in high school (haha, yes, that long ago :p) We both just look happy here! (well as happy as my FI ever looks in photos lol he hates his teeth so he doesn't really like to smile)

Some of my favorite photos come from our engagement photos. We took a photo at the bus/train stop where we met and we wanted to capture ourselves how we are on a normal basis so we dressed pretty casually. The piggyback photo was funny because he wanted to spin me around and I told him not to because my jeans were kind of low-rise and my crack was showing :)
