What is your favorite place to find new recipes?
I have a couple food blogs I have in my reader, but my favorite place is Cooking Light magazine. They have the best recipes and they list the calories, fat etc for each recipe.
I dont know about NEW recipes, but to find recipes I love foodnetwork.com Too bad its blocked at work for NO reason :(
I meant New recipes for you, old for someone else, but new for you
I like Epicurious, they have recipes on there from Gourmet, Bon Appetit and Self magazines. Plus anything I can find from Ina/Barefoot Contessa. Looooooove her.
101cookbooks.com. She's a wondeful blogger/photographer/cook! All her recipes are natural and healthy!
I loooove Cooking Light! Most of their recipes are simple, quick, and healthy!
20 plus years in the food service industry and my husband would tell you allrecipes.com. It has lots of recipes and great reviews. I can't tell you how many have become stables in our house.
Another Cooking Light fan here! The Hubs has diabetes, so we have to make sure to make recipes that provide detailed nutritional information and are relatively healthy. I love how fast/easy their recipes are to follow, too.
http://allrecipes.com/
This is my favorite website to use. You can read reviews and make changes based on what other who have tried the recipe have said.
I love the Food Network, but my newest favorite is www.kraftfoods.com, you can enter 3 ingredients that you have in your fridge/pantry and it will generate a recipe for you to cook up.
I go to allrecipes.com as well. LOVE that site.
www.allrecipes.com and www.kraftfoods.com are two of my favorites.
I like kitchn.com (blog that posts lots of things that are kitchen related, but tons of recipes) and Mark Bittman in the New York Times dining section. Both tend to be simple and easy!
Epicurious.com, foodnetwork.com, and the little Food magazine at grocery store checkouts.
SmittenKitchen blog, The Kitchen blog (the food blog spinoff of apartment therapy), epicurious, Pioneer Woman blog (cooking section), THe wednesday chef blog
I tried hard to like 101 cookbooks, but it was a little bit too "crunchy" for me...nothing just ever seemed appealing, but it you are into healthy eating and eating light then it will probably have some good things.
Oh and one place I hate....Martha Stewart website...it's always so hard to find what I'm looking for, there are no reviews, and everything MS I've made has always been not all that good.
I also love SmittenKitchen and recently discovered Pinch My Salt, which is relly good too. Epicurious.com is good, and I usually browse my mom's Bon Appetit when she gets them. I like to checkout cookbooks from the library!
Allrecipes.com
Real Simple
Smitten Kitchen
Mark Bittman (both at nytimes.com and his cookbooks)
Websites I like:
cookinglight.com
foodnetwork.com
eatingwell.com
allrecipes.com
cooks.com
sparkrecipes.com
Blogs I like:
I have not visited Smitten Kitchen in a long while but that is a good one also.
I used to love my morning on the elliptical reading my Cooking Light magazine. ![]()
allrecipes.com and Hungry Girl! i get an email daily with something healthy.
I also just "wing it' in my kitchen constantly and jot down flavor combos that turned out surprisingly nice!
Love food blogs, but I'm still to that scene, so I get most from Epicurious.com still. I really like how users are able to rate and post reviews -- really helpful in steering clear of bad recipes, and learning how to modify others if necessary!
Like others, I like allrecipes alot. I recently found http://foodgawker.com/ which is pretty cool too.
Oh, and I also make sure I am home by 5:30 pm on weekdays so I can catch Rachel Ray! If I am lucky I may catch a little bit of Paula Deen also. I am a Food Network junkie!
Like ejs4y8, I also tend to just wing it sometimes. Often times I will start putting things together to use something up. I have been known to stand in between my fridge and stove and just start adding things....
www.bhg.com
www.foodnetwork.com
www.realsimple.com
and all our cookbooks at home!
Allrecipes is definitely my fave! I love searching by the ingredients I have on hand (and want to use up!)
I usually google what I want to make and go from there.
another allrecipes fan here. not all the top rated recipes i've made have been hits, but some of the recipes i've tried have become classics in our household!
I'ma big fan too! I love that you can type in the ingredients you have on hand to find out what to make. and I LOVE the ratings! My first two marrie dmeals were from allrecipes and they turned out great.
www.simplyrecipes.com is one of my favorite food blogs!
Also, thepioneerwoman.com has DELICIOUS recipes...too bad they're so unhealthy for you!
I agree that allrecipes is awesome!
There are a lot of really good recipes on Kraftfoods. I also get a lot off of Allrecipes
I think I have just as many food blogs in my reader as wedding blogs, lol.
Love Pioneer Woman and Smitten Kitchen. Myrecipes.com pulls together Cooking Light and Southern Living. Everyday Food is a great magazine too.
Also, apparently The Pioneer Woman just launched a new site called "Tasty Kitchen" which is a collection of recipes (including bloggers and readers)
I love allrecipes too! Food Network's website is also a favorite of mine. I love Paula Deen but I've never tried any of her recipes--too much butter!
LOVE Food Network...I like to turn the TV on to the station and see what's on while I'm putzing around the house...and I have found some of my fave recipes that way!
Thanksgiving: you MUST try the spinach artichoke stuffing...I made it with more spinach and a little less cheese than the recipe called for, and it was the biggest hit of the meal!
I've been playing around with RecipeKey.com lately. Love it! Just blogged about it here http://crosscountrywed.blogspot.com/2009/08/food-key-to-most-mens-and-my-hearts.html
and most recently my grandmother's "notes" I found in her kitchen after she passed away. They aren't exact measurements but I've made some yummy stuff once I got the hang of what a smidge, pinch, etc were ;)
I really like www.vegweb.com and I usually browse around randomly to find recipes of something that I don't already have.
