I’ve been protein shaking it up to improve my fitness/get in shape for my wedding and was wondering what kind you fitness bees use??
I have GNC Total Lean Powder for shakes I make at home and Muscle Milk Lite for on-the-go meals, when I don’t have time to make a shake. Both cut my cravings, make me feel energized enough for my very vigorous work outs, and taste pretty good but I’m interested to hear what other people use.
What type do you like the best and why?

@kingytobe: i live by dymatize elite whey for my at-home shakes. the chocolate is by far the best protein powder i’ve tried, and i’ve tried them ALL. low sugar, low carbs, great protein.
before my workouts, usually in the morning, i use spark by advocare. it’s not protein, but more of an energy drink focused on working out, it is also a powder you mix with water. it gets me going without making me too full, and i also use it as a snack during the day when i need a pick-me-up.
i’d definitely recommend trying both! and i love muscle milk light for on-the-go.

I drink 2 a day, because I have trouble hitting 1,000 calories without the extra help, so I’ve found that this is the best combo–
In the morning, I use Garden of Life Raw Protein powder, which doesn’t taste great, but is probably the best protein powder out there in terms of nutrition, especially because it is raw and is packed full of probiotics and amino acids. Plus, it’s not made from soy or whey, which makes it doubly great because it lacks a lot of the negative qualities of both soy and whey biproducts. 110 calories per serving. You have to blend with fruit and yogurt though, because it’s pretty gnarly alone.
After my workout, I use Tera’s Whey protein powder. It’s DELICIOUS! It’s also organic, and I’m partial to the dark chocolate flavor. Whey protein isn’t GREAT for your body, but they use a different processing procedure to make it better for you than most whey protein powders. It only has a few ingredients, which is important, since most protein supplements (like Muscle Milk) are packed with a lot of crap additives. 80 calories per serving, tastes great with water or blended with milk or coffee or fruit…
Both are low in carbs!

I teach an aerobic program and I second Dymatize. I drink that after I teach class. Before class I drink their amino acid drink.

The Muscle Milk protein shakes are amazing! Me & FI drink the cake batter & mint chocolate chip, and I swear the cake batter tastes just like the ice cream! I’ve also had the Dreamsicle but I can not remember who makes it, its pretty good too & they have it at Vitamin Shop!

I use Gold Standard Pure Whey Protein by Optimum Nutrition. My husband mixes his with milk and I just mix mine with water. As long as I have the shaker bottle, it mixes well and takes like chocolate milk!

Bolthouse Farms Vanilla Chai Tea. It probably has less protein that mix at homes, but mosts everybody I know tells me the chocolate ones are the best and I loathe chocolate. So these work for me 🙂

I third Dymatize Whey protein. The chocolate is by FAR the best tasting protein I’ve ever had!

I use Metagenics Progain Chocolate, I need the extra Calories intake so I take that shake and I add fruits to it, it’s yummy!
