Hi there!

My absolute FAVORITE is a one where you split the group in teams (make them count off) and give them 3 rolls of toilet paper and some clear masking tape and scissors (original way is to use paperclips but I find this to be too hard).  Then they are to designate one person to be the model, and they need to design the best wedding dress possible for the bride.  Give them only 5 minutes or so to do this, and meanwhile the bride is hiding somewhere else.  Count down, 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute, 30 seconds, etc. After the time is up, the bride comes back and picks her favorite dress, and that team wins.  You can even have the models do a runway show, if they are up to it.  Sometimes, they can’t walk or the dress comes undone as she’s “modeling” which makes it all the more fun.

This is a great ice breaker and every time I’ve played it, all you hear is laughter.  Everyone has said how fun it is. I hope they do this for my wedding!!!

My shower was last weekend… one of my BM’s asked FI questions before hand and then I had to answer them with the same answers… If I got an answer wrong, I had to eat a huge piece of hum (Hubba Bubba). It can also be done with shots.

“Name one piece of clothing that you can’t stand of Carla’s” (was a pair of my ratty Pjs)

“What percentage of house work do you say you do?”

“Where was your first date?”

Another game we played…everyone was split up into teams and given a few rolls of toilet paper. Everyone had 5 minutes to make a wedding dress out of TP. I was the judge and got to pick the winner. I also ended up taking home a ton of left over toilet paper LOL!

EDIT: Just read the post above mine about the wedding dresses out of TP! I didn’t hide while they were working away, I kept track of the time.

I love toilet paper bride. It’s my favourite! I was at a shower a few weeks ago where they had a sort of treasure hunt. So it was a BIG shower, so each table of girls got a list of items, and we had to check off the ones we had in our purses! We brought our lists and all the items up to be verfied and whoever had the most won. It was a pretty fun game and it was hilarious to see all the useless crap we carry around every day!

@Sunshine23: We played that game as well! It was fun! Then later, FI picked me up and we made him play it!!

We also did the bingo game where everyone writes down what they think I’ll get for gifts on a bingo card and then tries to get bingo.

One that I really enjoyed was my bridesmaids asked my FI at the time a few questions and recorded the answers. At the party they gave everyone an question sheet to answer and then they asked me  the questions and then played his answers… it was so fun and I loved watching him squirm in the video.. we got some great pictures.. his family especially loved it.

At our couples’s shower, my fiance and I stood back to back; We held a fork in our left hands (representing me) and a knife in our right hands (representing him.) They asked us questions, such as, “Who is the best money manager?”  We answered the questions by raising either the fork or knife, then we turned around to see if our answers “matched.”  This was a lot of fun and everyone took turns asking questions, ie…Who’s the best driver?  Who’s most athletic?  who’s the friendliest?  etc…
