So I know this has been posted about before, but of course “top 40” type music changes pretty rapidly and so I wanted to ask this.
I’m getting ready to reorganize the music on my iPhone so I have more stuff to listen to while I work out (I don’t download my whole iTunes onto my phone because I have like 2000 songs on there.) I have a slow playlist, too, for rock climbing, because I tend to feel more zen when I’m training for that. But for running, lifting, etc., I like to get pumped!
What are you favorite songs/artists to listen to while you work out/train/stretch etc? I’d love to get a good list together before I reorganize this beast tonight!

I love listening to Katy Perry and Kesha when working out. They make me want to dance!

@TwoStatesBride: Great post! I have 2 different play lists – one for running and another for strength training.
A song I recently download that is helping me amp up my speed when running (just recently started couch25k) is Steven Aoki – Boneless. The beat is SICK and super hard. It gets me pumped and I love it.
Other great songs:
End of Time and Run The World – Beyonce
Where Have You – Rihanna
You Make Me Feel – Cobra Starship
P.Y.T. – Michael Jackson
Damn near anything by P!NK
My Body – Young The Giant

I’ll chime in too:
If I’m going really crazy beastmode on something or doing sprints, I like to listen to Mindless Self Indulgence, and the Cardio Dance station on Pandora. My slow playlist is/is going to consist of Lorde/Passenger/Ellie Goulding/Birdy/Mumford & Sons/Deathcab for Cutie.

@thejucheidea: LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! I absolutely LOVE this play list! I will have to take some of these songs for myself. Get me more motivated for squats!
@TwoStatesBride: Definitely check them out. I’m sure you will enjoy them especially the ones that have high BPMs. It will give you the surge to move faster!

@thejucheidea: LMAO I love the bum playlist!!!
@TwoStatesBride: I love running to Britney’s Work, Work. Not the most profound song but the beat is perfect for running and I like how she keeps repeating “You want a hot body? Look hot in a bikini? You better work, work” 😀
And I like to lift to Damn, Girl by Justin Timberlake.

Apparently I am the only one who listens to rock while working out

Pretty much anything by Electric Six, The Darkness, Queen, and Yeah Yeah Yeahs. There is also a ton of kpop and jrock on my list. Michael Jackson, Jamiroquai, and Miike Snow as well.
I’m always looking for more to add. I love the idea of a butt playlist, I will be stealing that idea for sure!
his_sweet_girl: I do too! There’s some alt and hip hop mix in, but primarily rock.
