I know that I have an absolute favorite thing about my wedding dress that makes me incredibly happy every time I put it on. I adore the draping on my skirt and the way it creates an illusion of greater height and a smaller waist.

the beading on the train! it's what made me get the dress. it was a pop of surprise in the back of my dress.

i love the brooch that comes with my dress. it has a vintage look that i really like.

Mine's being custom-made (lady at the church makes them, so it's cheaper than buying one!), so I love everything! But the two features I fell in love with on other dresses are little cap-y sleeves on a sweetheart neckline and a sheer train. Those, and a lacey overlay, were my only 2 requirements for her. I gave her these two pictures as my inspiration.

Cap sleeves are my favorite trait that my dress DOESN'T have. I've contemplated having them added to my dress, but I'm not sure... They're so sweet!

I love the way my dress makes me feel. I look much younger than my age and did not want to feel like such a young bride. My dress makes me feel sophisticated and a little sexy. Love that!
that it was $140, haha! and it fits like a dream, and it's simple so i can play with accessories!

I love the cap sleeves! When I tried on some different dresses they held up some for me to look at on different styles and they were just so cute no matter what the style was! I'm so excited I get to have them. I have (relatively) big tatas, so I'm just not that great in completely strapless, so this is the perfect look for me! Yay for lovely dresses!

I love that I look like a cake in mine! It's also beautiful and enchanting without all the beading/crystals/shiney stuff/lace/other distracting stuff -- just soft satin. Eeek! I Can't wait to wear it.

@Laurajane: i wish i had a picture to show you because it's a little hard to describe. it's silver and has a few pearls. you can see what it looks like if you look up paloma blanca style 3813.
I wasn't in love with my dress, but I did really like the detailing of the crystals and pearls on top of the lace, especially the back of the dress. I asked for more silver beads when I had the dress made, but I should have asked for all silver beads just so the detail could be seen easier in person and especially in photos.
I love that the scoop neck on mine has pears and sequins and beading on it, and it frames my face and shoulders so pretty. It's almost like wearing an intricate neclace.
My favorite thing about my dress is also the thing that makes me most nervous... and that is the crazy poofy train. I love it and worry about pulling it off at the same time. I keep reminding myself of how glamorous the pictures will look with it.

My favorite thing about my dress is the champagne panel that it has that starts at the front and continues onto the back and down the train.
I love that mine is a fitted and has some tulle at the bottom (takes me back to my ballet days).

The back by far...I had my first fitting this weekend (in muslin, so not even in satin yet). It's the first time I've seen the design in the silhouette i want. And the first time i've been in any dress that was remotely close to fitting (though this isn't the final pattern). So excited!!

my dress is the ubiquitous jcrew sophia dress. it's usually $300-ish (i think), and i happened to get it on crazy sale right before christmas.
HMM. Good question! I love the pick-up with embellishments on my dress. And how the back looks old-fashioned button up (but it's really a zip up).
Menorca...I like that I didn't have to add a modesty panel, bc it was the only non cleavage (halter) non-strapless dress I found, and it fit me PERFECTLY...I only had to get a bustle & the straps shortened (not even a hem)

@Lindsy: That is gorgeous!! It would be nice to pull some of the pearly accents for accessories- it's very vintage-y! :)
I tried uploading pics recently and they didn't work. Here's my dress in 3 sizes too big on me (and with clips on the bag and inside the chest area - hence the lumps!) It's Marisa 710.

I love everything about my dress, but if I have to pick one thing I'd say it's the polka dotted tulle. It matches my personality in that the dress looks so formal but then there are these polka dots that are such fun. It's the Pronovias Dance. Here are pics of it on the model and a close up of the detailing.

My favorite part about my dress, besides the fact its all lace, is the one part its not! There is a layer that peeks out of the bottom that is a silk taffata that looks like soft snow and i love it! Especially since my wedding is in the winter!
I think my favorite part about my dress is the colour. It's a pale silver that makes my pale skin pop instead of making me look like a ghost. I still wish I was able to get my "dream dress" from the online retailer and am still bummed it didn't work out. But i'm glad I found something I like.
I love the price ($79) and the material (matte jersey). I can't wait to wear it!

I loved the asymmetrical bustling on the front of mine. It made it really unique.
Mine makes me look skinny, I don't have to wear a bra and I LOVE the lace :)
