My favorite wedding movie, heck one of my favorite movies in general, is The Best Man with Morris Chestnut, Taye Diggs, Nia Long, Terrance Howard, and Monica Calhoun, Sanaa Lathan, Harold Perrineau and Melissa DeSousa. That movie is love, friendship, trust, hope, betrayal, acceptance, and forgiveness all rolled into one. It'll make you cry, laugh, and hold your breath, sometimes at the same time!
I love My Best Friend's Wedding. It is seriousy my favorite movie ever. :)
My Best Friend's Wedding and Sweet Home Alabama are a tie for me. But there are so many good ones! I love cheesy chick flicks, especially when they involve a wedding!
I'm a fan of Father of the Bride, the Steve Martin version.
Also, in a very unbridelike fashion, I LOVE The Hangover, which I shall count as a wedding movie. GO SEE IT!
I loved The Wedding Planner and Sweet Home Alabama are a couple of my favorites.
Not my favorite wedding movie, but my favorite wedding scene is from Runaway Bride. I think it's her second wedding.. She's in the forest and the leaves are changing color. There's butterflies all over the place and it is just so beautiful!
Oh I forgot about Runaway Bride! How could I forget that one? My favorite wedding scene from Runaway Bride is the trampoline!
I love wedding movies... So a favorite. I dunno. Maybe
Sweet Home Alabama
The Proposal (too funny)
Hands down.... The Wedding Singer!!!!
I am even walking down the aisle to the song Adam Sandler sings to Drew Barrymore during the airplane scene of the movie... I cry everytime I watch that scene!
I grew up on Father of the Bride, the Steve Martin version. That was my dream wedding for a long time. Now that it's more than a decade later since that type of wedding fashion...I'm kinda over it. :)
@SugarMomma: I've never seen that movie before! I'll have to look into it. We are thinking about getting NetFlix so it'll go on my list :) Thanks for the recommendation!
@august15bride: Oh! That's a great one too! I remember when I saw it I wanted the little thin gold hoops Julia Roberts wore throughout the movie. I did get them....which reminds, me where are they?! The scene where they sing in the restaurant and the lobster is dancing around--haha!
@Miss Bravo: Yes, that is a good one! Those two were a great combination for the movie.
@tessabella76: Sweet Home Alabama---oh that's a too cute movie :) I love her ex eventual husband in the end--he's SO handsome and I love his voice. I have a thing for guys with husky type voices---my FI has one ;)
@Lorienne: I think that was the first movie I ever saw that was weddingish! I still quote, "He's wonderful, he's beautiful and we're getting marrrried!" HAHA And you're right, Steve Martin is awesome :D
@AlmostMrsG: I will go see The Hangover--promise!
@Mandalynn17: The Wedding Planner, is that with Jennifer Lopez and Matthew McConaughey (sp?!)
@Mrs. Spring: I used to have Runaway Bride and I kick myself now that I didn't keep it. ::sigh:: I think it was one of the first DVDs I bought when I was a senior in high school. That scene at the end is just stunning. I am dreaming of the changing colors for my wedding at the end of September 2010, but I don't think it'll be possible. Those venues are a fortune here in Colorado!
@flamingo: FI and I just saw The Proposal last weekend...that is a movie I will be owning. I love Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds--both are hilarious!
@sassykm: One of my FI's favorite movies is the Wedding Singer actually :) We are thinkign about using the same song in some way. Are you using the actual song from the movie?
@Weeebs: Yeah, it is a little much now--very early 90's HAHA I remember the planner (gosh, what's his name?!) talking about swans on the yard. :)
I have to say, I just saq Monster-In-Law for the first time the other day, and I thought it was too funny! I've never really been a Jennifer Lopez fan, but that movie was cute!!
The Other Sister is a cute wedding movie too. I usually cry when I see it. :)
I just love the wedding singer, sweet home alabama, and 27 dresses... this movie only has a small wedding scene in it but I just adore 2 weeks notice :)
Hands down my favorite is "My Big Fat Greek Wedding." Insert "Irish" for "Greek" and you basically have my family. My FH would definitely vote for "Wedding Crashers."
A sweet one is "A Wedding for Bella." Totally obscure, but stars Scott Baio (aka Chachi and Charles in Charge). I heart him.

I know this is the lounge and it's for stuff not really wedding related--just for us to chat about whatever--but I didn't know where else to ask this question.
What's your favorite wedding movie? Or a movie where someone ends up getting married in the end and not necessarily themed for a wedding?
I love the ceremony set up for Yes, Man. Beautiful but it won't work for my location. I plan to have a girls night at my house and have some gals over to do some brainstorming and thought what better way than to watch some fun girl movies?! And food, and wine, and food....oh, and more wine :)
