Hands down, the best book/magazineI've gotten is the Real Weddings. It is great!
My mom got Mindy Weiss's Wedding Book and thats been a good resource too.
OMG...my wedding planner is my bible right now , its the best thing ever!! its called "Destination Wedding Planner" by Alison Hotchkiss! So bees if you're having a destination wedding this is the best...it tells you everthing you need to take care of planning a wedding away from home! I got it from Amazon, it was cheaper than Barnes and Nobles!
I love the DIY Wedding, the pep talks at the end of the chapters are great!
I really like the "magazine" type book that Real Simple puts out - it's just called "Weddings".
I agree with SanDiegoAli. Real Simple Weddings is the best I've come across. (It's pricey for a magazine, but cheap for a wedding planning book.) It's easy to use and looks great! Plus, you won't have to lug around a huge book :)
Oh I love Weddings too, I'm buying it every time it comes out! The only sucky part is that the gorgeous dresses they feature are about 10x my budget!
I agree with the Mindy Weiss book! It's the one I have. My MOH gave it to me her book when she found out I was engaged.
IMHO the best one is the Mindy Weiss book. It has so so so much info in it. I have the Knot one, as well as the Peggy Post one, and they don't compare in helpfullness.
I love my Real Simple Weddings book. Best wedding planner ever. Bought two extra - one for my engaged BM and my recently eloped (having a party) BM.
Also, I really enjoyed reading OffBeat Bride by Ariel Meadow Stallings. She has a blog too, but I just really enjoyed the "you and your partner's day" perspective on the whole planning process. It helps me keep my inner Bridezilla in check.
When we first got engaged, I bought three books.. Two for me: Bridal Bargains, and Weddings for Dummies; and one for my fiance: The Clueless Groom's Guide. We're really the first couple in our circle to get married, so the Dummies/Clueless books felt necessary. I think my fiance has really appreciated his book, because he really was clueless, and the Dummies book was pretty informative for me, but Bridal Bargains was the most helpful. Lots of great sites and advice! I planned on buying Offbeat Bride as well, but instead, just became a member of the blog!

So I am trying to find the best wedding planning books out there. So far my faves are Mindy Weiss' The Wedding Book and The Knot Book of Wedding Lists. Any one else have some favorite planning books I should check out?
