    This past weekend I went wine tasting w/ my ladies. At one of the wineries someone asked one of the employees what his favorite wine was and he said, "Choosing your favorite wine is like picking your favorite kid. You just can't do it."
    Do you agree, or do you have a favorite wine?

    Personally I can't pick, I have several favorites.

    Pinot Noir. I don't have a favorite brand, or anything, but I just love the way it tastes.

    Favorite Summer Wine - 1997 Kendal Jackson Chardonnay

    Favorite Winter Wine - 2000 Mondavi Reserve Cabernet

    Or that could change depending on what is in stock, on sale, or cold in my fridge :)

    I have a favorite type and I do have a favorite maker or two.

    Pinot Noir followed closely by Champagne, Sancerres and good Rose {I really like the ones that are made with all Pinot grapes.}

    Ridge and Domaine Serene are probably two of my favorite producers. I like most everything I've ever had from them. Quintessa and Silver Oak also, but I don't really get to drink a ton of the expensive stuff! :)

    I am so in love with rose, especially ones that aren't white zinfandel. :P  It's finally getting popular in Austin!  About time--I need something refreshing to drink in this dang 105 degree heat.

    Rieslings, especially Selbach when I can find it.  Ice wines are something I'm getting into also, but they are a hangover just waiting to happen!

    Well I don't know if this counts since it's more of a dessert wine, but I'm near obsessed with ice wine, especially from Inniskillin. It's pretty much orgasmic, that's the best way I can describe it.
