Letterpressed Thank You cards. Little packs of 5. We decided that we would have one set for each couple (since ladies are usually the ones to write them), and then a basket of some sort by the door with a few more sets.
My FI grants a lot of wishes for "The Make A Wish Foundation". We are making a donation to the foundation and I am making chocolate stars (their logo is a star) to attach to the card.
We are doing several which are bottles of water with personalized labels for our outdoor ceremony, frames that hold the escort cards (with pressed flowers to match our Colorado outdoorsy theme) and pine tree seedlings (We are planting a unity tree instead of lighting a unity candle). You can save a lot of $ on favors if you order them after the summer wedding season (late August/early September). I got my frames 1/2 off! This freed up some money for other favors.
We are doing chocolate monogramed favors. The company I am ordering from is the best. They will work with you regarding designs and will match the colors of your wedding. Not to mention they come beautifully wrapped with a matching ribbon. You can get a picture, monogram, names and wedding date, pretty much whatever you want on the chocolate... not to mention they are delicious!
Here is the site for anyone who is interested... you can even order samples
We are having little boxes of chocolates made by a fantastic local company, and wrapped votive candles in our colors. I have also fallen in love with some custom match boxes, which I think goes well with the idea of candles.
FH and I are lotto fanatics. We're giving away lotto tickets. We're also making a donation in each guests' name to the Susan G. Komen foundation in honor of my aunt and mother
in homage to my LA Dodgers and FH's NY Yankees, we are having a baseball themed reception - so our favors are cracker jacks and peanuts and we hired a hot dog vendor for the late nite sendoff!
I'm getting hungry just reading about all of these!
We're having a winter wedding (between xmas and new years) so we're giving small evergreen trees in little pots with ribbon around the pots that match the decor. I'm planning on using them to decorate the table so save some $$ on centerpieces :)
What is everyone doing as far as favors for their weddings?
