I am having wedding favors that double as the place cards. Do I have one favor/place card per (married) couple or individual? Do I have one favor/place card per (unmarried) couple and add “person’s name and guest” or per individual? Etiquette is the word of the day when planning I’ve realized…

I think it depends on what you’re having as the favour. If it’s something big, like a bottle of wine, go one per couple. But if it’s something small, go one per person.

I would use one per couple. It depends on how formal you’re making your escort cards, but you could use Jane and John Doe/Jane and John Doe Family/Jane Doe and John Smith (next to or on the following line) before the table numbers.
As long as you don’t need to use it to convey meal choice information and aren’t being super formal it’s fine 🙂

We’re doing photo coasters as escort cards. So whoever has a seat will get their own with their name on it.

This is tricky because escort cards are usually one per couple, but favors are usually One per person…

I agree w/ others: it depends what types of favors you are planning to do, but Bells is correct.
