Hi Ladies! Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!

I've been thinking about favor options lately (Why? I have so much other stuff I could be doing!!!) and am torn between 2.  I should mention, at first I didn't want to do favors at all, but now I'm trying to decide between...

    A. Candy Bar - Lots and lots of candy, with bags/boxes to put it in.

    B. Hot Chocolate Bar - 2 flavors hot chocolate, with syrups (caramel, chocolate, vanilla, hazelnut, etc.), toppings (caramel, chocolate chips, peppermints, etc.) and chocolate dipped spoons, peppermint sticks, with to-go cups.  The to-go cups would have a label of some sort, thanking the guests, or something to that effect.

As a guest, which idea would appeal most to you?  We are having a New Year's Eve, 2010 wedding in Missouri = cold.

Thanks in advance :) Also, any suggestions you have would be appreciated!

Having never even heard of a hot chocolate bar, I think that's a *fantastic* idea, especially for a winter wedding!

Hot chocolate is super fun and unique. I love the idea, but I would actually probably prefer the candy bar just because I'm a candy monger.

Also, usually venues/caterers will include coffee and tea with any beverage package, so hot drinks should already be available.

Since these really aren't favors, per se, could you offer both, and call it "guest entertainment"? I really do love the hot chocolate idea.

Thanks for all the advice.  I guess I didn't mean it so much as a "favor".  More as a "treat" I suppose!

We will have hot tea, coffee, etc, but I thought the hot chocolate bar opening up at 12:15am, with the reception ending at 1:00 (I think the majority of guests will stay to watch the ball drop) would give them something for the drive home or to take back to their room.

I'm also considering warm donuts to accompany the hot chocolate, or cookies or something.

I like the hot chocolate idea. You might want to throw in some cidar or tea just in case someone doesn't like chocolate. VERY cute idea!

I am not into most candy but I can't get enough of hot chocolate. Most people I know tend to agree.
