I am an ex classical muscian. I wouldn't say my taste is very obsecure but there is a reason famous pieces are famous... they are good! I like the daker music.. more eastern european and russian typcially rather than chirpy baroque. So my go to favorites are Dvorak's well known 9th symphony (truthfully of his for the most part but in particular 8th symphony is good too), Borodin Polovtsian Dances (note not a big fan when they have the chorus with the performance). It is much different than your Sanit Saens piece but I like Capriccio Espagnol by Rismsky Korsakov but if you get a bad recording this piece is a stickler for tempo and if they are off it will drive you nuts! Beethoven's 7th 2nd movement I love but boy is it dark. If you are cello fan you will like it. Rocmaninoff wrote mostly piano pieces but I like his vocalise. (man you are making me stretch to remember!)
Please I haven't played in many years so if I got some things a little off please bash lightly :)

Hey ladies!
NWR here, but I love my classical music, and I'm feeling I need to be introduced to some new songs (I stick to my favourite bunch).
Anyone out there listen to classical? If so, what's your favourite?
Mine is probably The Swan by Camille Saint Saens.
