I know there are lots of ladies with custom ring experience on here! This is premature on my part, as bf will probablynot be proposing anytime too soon, however, I do love to fantasize about it, hahaha.
I stumbled upon what I think would be my dream ring, but it is ridiculously expensive. From what you know about jewelers’ abilities and talents, how possible would it be to create a pretty good replica of this ring?

I am definitely no expert when it comes to this, but there are a lot of pear shaped diamonds in that ring which would all have to be similar stats…it’s a pretty intricate ring And very pretty. I’m sure you could have something similar recreated at a lower cost, but I’m not sure *how* much lower. I’d personally look into bumping the clarity of the diamonds up just a bit and lowering the carat size.
I’d also think the open gap in the band would get uncomfortable – I have a RHR with a similar band and I don’t wear it often because it feels weird. That’s just me though. It does look really cool!
why not start contacting vendors for quotes? I know on the BetterThanDiamond forum, David Klass is one of the go-to jewelers for well priced custom work…you kind of have to research and shop around for the right jeweler.

@SleepyKit_131: What’s your budget? If it’s under $10K, I would look into using moissanites or Ashas instead of diamonds. If it’s over 10, then go ahead and go apeshit with those diamonds!

Hahaha, that made me crack up. Yes, in theory I would love to go apeshit with some diamonds! Yesssssss. I was also thinking for the second flower I could use a different colored, cheaper stone, like, rubies or garnets to cut down on costs.
And maybe have the gap narrowed, or closed to increase wearability and comfort.
Annnnd not sure if this would be more cost efficient, but I definitely prefer yellow gold.
If only my bf knew what I was plotting ^_^
