I am using Feastivities for my wedding this October. I went with them because I truly felt in my heart that they would be there for me throughout the entire process. I wanted a unique wedding something that would reflect myself and fiancé to the fullest and they we able to give it to me.
I have never planned a wedding before and I am sure many of you that this is your one and only and you want it to be perfect! They have educated me on every aspect of my wedding and gave me great references on other vendors that I have decided to use because of their relationship with Feastivities and vice a versa. I have no problem with their deposit schedule your going to have to pay that money in the end anyway why not get the majority of it out of the way I don't want to have to pay a huge lump sum a week before the wedding I have better things to worry about!
I can officially say I am a worried free bride because I am using Feastivities and if you choose to go with them as well you should consider yourself one too! Good Luck planning :)
Thank you for the review! That is so much more promising sounding than the reviews I got on the previous caterer that I was working with. I am only worried about the deposit schedule because my wedding is still two years out. We are getting married Memorial Day Weekend so we are trying to plan early. If I go on their deposit schedule, and my guest count changes by 25 ppl, I would have already overpaid with 12 months of the wedding still to go. I won't know my definite numbers until ATLEAST 4 months prior..... I'm sure they will work with me because they seem to be extremely flexible... Thanks!
Did you end up getting prices from them? What were they like? Also, does it include alcohol? If you don't want to share the info here you can email me... rd5569@gmail.com...
Sorry I have not been on here in a while I was busy with a major home renovation since December and I am finally back planning my wedding wohoooooo... so about your deposit concerns well if you over pay you should get money back simple as that right. I had loads of questions for them with the deposit schedual and other things and I just called my planner up and she answered everything...don't ever be afraid to ask the experts isn't that what you are paying them for?
As far as pricing bd you shouldn't go from what other peoples price quotes are and not many people want to share their financial information. Feastivities never sent me any sample menus with ricing they said they were a custom caterer and let me thell you they are. I was relieved when I did not have to choose from A,B & C packages we actually had fun dreating our menu. Just let them know what your budget is and I am sure they can work with you :)
Good Luck ladies!!!
I did not have a good experience with feastivities but I have a very good friend that LOVES them! I guess it just depends which planner you get to work with. My planner had a very hard time answering our questions and gave us a major issue with our long engagement. She ultimately had her boss call me and say that they wouldnt be able to work with me when I hadn't even gotten a quote from them after sending a preferred menu. I have found an AMAZING caterer in Fleur de lys and personally like working with the chef specifically rather than a party planner that wouldn't have the answers right away.
Please remember that many have had great experiences with Feastivities in contrast to my experience with them so I would definitely recommend going through the paces with them on your own to see how you fit with them. They are extremely responsive to email (in the beginning) so you will be able to get a feel for them right away!
Good luck!
I'm sorry you did not have a good experiance, like I did, with feastivities but am happy you found a caterer and you day will be perfect because it is your day. Good luck with the rest of your plans!

So this is a follow up to the Catering By Design post that I put up about a month ago. As your reviews stated, they have been very disappointing and despite my understand through these massive amounts of snow, I'm feeling a little uneasy. My next bet if Feastivities. This will be the third catering company I am getting a quote from and I'm hanging on your words.... Do we LOVE them? I am EXTREMELY picky and I'm worried that no one is going to live up to what I would like. I have a close friend that has LOVED working with them but I thought that their deposit schedule seemed a little strange. I am planning very far in advance and the deposit schedule has you paying for the majority within the first 2 months. Are they responsive? How are their prices? Are they flexible? Any insight to the deposit schedule for a wedding that is still two years away? Any info would help as the hive was right about the previous caterer....
