I'm sure it depends on what your veil looks like. For instance beads or no beads, short or long. Etc.
Do you have pictures of your veil yet?
yes, pics of my veil and dress are attached (the dress is shown in white, but mine is ivory). I am thinking the veil might have too much detail, but it's hard to tell I guess until I try them all on together. I initially bought a simple, pearl headband to wear instead, but I just LOVE my fascinator and it's more me.
I am! I'm going to have a cathedral length veil pinned onto my half-up 'do, and then have the feather fascinator stuck right above the veil!
I thnk when the veil is in the back and not on your sholders it will look great with the flower and I love your dress, it was actually my favorite (besides the one I bought) of all the dresses I tried on at David's but they didn't have my size or white so it was hard to see what it would look like if it fit properly
I haven't decided whether I'm wearing a birdcage or regular veil yet, but either way I'll be wearing a fascinator with it! I think as long as you do it right it will look great, just like a flower in your hair with the veil.
I'm planning on doing the same thing. I think it'll look great. Love the peice btw
I am using actual live flowers (although in the pic I have fake and much smaller than what I plan on having) and will be wearing my veil at the back of my "do"
I was going to - but the sound of the veil rubbing over the flower drove me crazy! I was going to wear the flower under the veil. So I wound up wearing just the veil and it was fine. I now wear the fascinator when going out with my husband. I wore it our entire honeymoon :-).
I love that fascinator, where'd you find it? on Etsy? BTW I see your wedding is this coming weekend, what did you decide to do?
I did find it on Etsy--EM Bridal is the shop. I am wearing both and they look great together :)
Mrs.Coconut had her hair up in a low bun-like do with a hair flower and cathedral. Looksie here!

thanks eryepye, I'll check them out, I really like the vintage look it has.
sweetlovely, I see she did both a traditional veil and then switched to a birdcage, very interesting, why not have both, huh?

Is anyone, or is anyone planning on, wearing a feather fascinator with a regular veil? It seems that everyone wears them with birdcage veils and I haven't seen pictures of anything else. Attached is a picture of my fascinator with which I'm planning on wearing a very simple fingertip length, ivory veil. The fascinator will be tucked further toward the back, next to my low updo, like the placement of most hair flowers. If it looks weird when I try it, I suppose I'll leave the fascinator for just the reception when the veil comes off. My dress is plain ivory satin with no beading or lace. Input, pictures?
Thanks!
