I have a question for cat owners-
I’ve come home the last couple of days to feathers scattered throughout the house, but no blood or bird body or live bird?
Only entrance/exit point to the house when we are not home is a small cat door.
Does anyone have any idea what could be going on? Our cats catch birds and lizards occasionally but they are always left in the house for us.
It’s really odd and I was wondering if anyone has had a similar experience?

Maybe your cat ate the whole thing? Or maybe your cat hid it somewhere… I had that happen once when my cat brought in a squirrel. I found bits of it buried under stuff in my brother’s closet after it started to reek beyond normal high school boy smells. Gross, I know. Or maybe your cat brought in a bird, then took it back out? That is kind of weird. Good luck!

Another thought; does your cat have toys with feathers? Your cat might just be ripping the feathers off of those.
