I love feathers! I think they are going to be really big in weddings in 2010! Also, I was at Hobby Lobby yesterday, and they had 60% off of their floral arrangements, and they had these AMAZING feather centerpieces. I had no need for them, but I wish I did! They were in deep jewel tones reds and blues and greens, and would look absolutely gorgeous for a centerpiece...
*sigh*...
Love it!! Try ebay - they sell whole kits on there for these centerpieces (including floralytes) for pretty cheap.
I love this idea!! I really thought about having feathers for my bouquet too.
I'm a peacock bride too! (YAY PEACOCKS!) and I may have just saved that picture you posted into my little "inspiration" folder ;-)
I'm wearing feathers in my hair (instead of a veil) and am debating whether I do some feathers in my bouquet. We're doing a peacock feather tied to the top of our menu, and possibly peacock feather "chargers" under each high floral arrangement. They're from Z Gallerie and $40 a pop, so I'm going to make them myself:

I looove the look of feathers in weddings - I think it will look great!
I'm a feather girl also. I loved my birds and so I'm having some feathers in the bouquet. Would also do my shoes if I could find some.
Go peacock theme brides!! Me too! I wanted to be able to work my grooms Army uniform (pilots navy and light blue with a gold stripe pant) into the wedding without having lbue all over the place. Plus I'm not much of a flower-kind-of-girl. Then once we decided on the them of 1940's it came to me. Feathers!! And peacock feathers at that! The rich colors, the flirty feel...perfection.
I even bought blue Manolo Blahniks to wear on the wedding day so everything will go great...if I can just find a way to make feathers work in centerpieces. Bouquets seem to look amazing with feathers of all sorts, but centerpeices I'm having a hard time with. Anyone out there have pics to give me some inspiration?
My wedding was purple/green with peacock feathers as decor. Here are some photos from my photographer's blog!

absolutely gorgeous. That is one hell of a wedding..would you be so kind as to tell me who did the lighting? how did you get purple on the walls? that was cool.
all the girls and all the men look handsome. you did a great job. Was it a stressfull plan or did it go smoothly?
@Miss_Damask, your wedding was beautiful!! Really love how you incorporated peacock feathers!!
@tytbody thank you! The lighting came with the venue-- The Piazza in the Village. They had filters in different colors available and lucky for us, purple was one of them! We paid a little extra for it-- they could have done uplighting too but that was just too much $.
Thank you for the compliment on the ladies/men! The girls picked their own dresses--I think they did well. :-) The planning was actually really enjoyable. I had a great time. The last few weeks were rough, but that was due to 1)7 family weddings the fall before ours 2)moving 2 weeks before the wedding 3) all of the holidays the month before the wedding and 3)massive workload-- I couldn't take off even one day because of how much work I had on my plate. My family and bridesmaids and husband reallyreallyreally helped the last few weeks! :-)
