:) I'm exactly one week from today!

I'm getting our rings on Wednesday, too, and I have a mani/pedi and massage scheduled for Thursday. I can't believe it's here already!!!!

Less than two weeks to go! I've been procrastinating on assembling the programs but I started doing that today. Not done yet, but will probably finish them tomorrow.

We're getting our blood tests done tomorrow morning. PR has a blood test requirement and it has to be within two weeks of the wedding, so yeah. And I am TERRIFIED because I'm totally needle-phobic. I'd really really really really really rather not submit myself to such medieval torture (really, it's a huge phobia), but oh well, gotta do it if we want to get married.

Tuesday I'm picking up my dress, finally. I've had to reschedule my final appointment three times already because of the stupid blizzards. And apparently there's more snow coming early this week? Gah, I hope I can pick up my dress before the new winter weather worry begins!

On Saturday (the 20th) we fly down to PR, a week before the wedding to do all the legal stuff (turn in paperwork and whatnot) and deal with all the final details. We'll spend the week after the wedding in PR too as a mini-honeymoon, postponing our actual honeymoon trip for next year, after I graduate.

Eeeep, we're going to be married soon!!! And then life can go back to normal and I can concentrate on writing my long-neglected PhD thesis, yay! =)

less than two weeks! i'm so ready for it to just be here.... and i know it will be soon! i have to change up the escort cards because we had some last minute add ons/cancellations. (we had someone try to add on their bf of one month last night, luckily mom my took care of it and said no! too late, the final count is in. and no way are we having bf's of one month come to our teeny tiny wedding! soo ready for all of this to be over!) we still have last minute details, make sure everything's right with the rentals, do the flowers which can't be done until the night before the wedding. can't wait for the honeymoon!

We did the OOT bags last night. We need to get a few last minute gifts. I'm trying to find a good "wedding punch" for the reception...in my mind I see a white cranberry based punch and we can put raspberries in there (the drink will be ina clear beverage dispenser) any ideas?? The punch and water will be the non-alcoholic choices-red wine, white wine and beer will be the other choices, and we will have coffee after the cake cutting. This Saturday it all goes down- I pray everything goes according to plan. Trying to tell myself that things will go wrong but most people will not notice. I'm excited to see how everything looks put together. I'm not nervous exactly- just anxious. FINAL COUNTDOWN!!

    Two weeks away here, too!

Just finished escort cards, wedding weekend schedule, music requests & do not play list, and e-mailed everything out. I just came back from raiding the stores for 50% off valentine's day candy for our mini candy buffet. I just picked up my dress this weekend. AND.. this weekend I also bought my cake cutting knife & server set. It's Kate Spade & has this gorgeous "MR. AND MRS." engraving.. I got $20 off so I don't feel guilty about buying it one bit!

So I'm pretty much done! I just need to take a few pictures of how I want the guestbook and tables to look and send it to our venue. And sort out all my wedding stuff from one big pile into "ceremony" and "reception" boxes.

    And shop/pack for the honeymoon!

Is anyone else losing sleep yet? Ugh. I have been, and it sucks. I'll just wake up at 3:30 and can't go back to sleep :(

Wedding is in 5 days and the only things left for me to do are to pack, get gifts for the parents (NO IDEA WHAT TO GET THEM - UGH), and make programs. Whew!

What did you all get for the parents? I'm seriously completely out of ideas...nothing seems good enough (if that makes sense), but everything else is too expensive. oy!

i just checked the 2 week forecast, saw "rain and thunderstorms" and had my first moment of panic.

here's to hoping our outdoor wedding won't be so wet.

(there are tents we can use as a backup.)

@jess - what about a nice engraved picture frame they can put a wedding photo in?

@smepsi. our wedding is outdoors too, the ceremony and reception. it's too early to tell now, things can change between now and then (at least i'm hoping it will get warmer here!) and i keep telling myself and i'll tell you too, it doesn't matter about the weather, it will be perfect!

@jesstagirl - We are giving them silver frames with an 8x10 engagement photo of us in it, and a handwritten thank you card. We'll make them albums later once we have the wedding pictures. Both our parents have been extremely generous but I don't think they are expecting anything monetary for reimbursement.

I'm sure they'd appreciate us saying "a grandkid is your gift!" but that's not happening soon. ;)

I am getting a little stressed. I basically have to pack everything into boxes, and one last thing to buy - a little pouch for the money dance, because there is not much dress for them to clip money onto (and I don't want to be wearing money!).

I have an interview tomorrow for an overseas job so my mind is completely focused on that instead of the wedding and honeymoon just 10 days away.
