The short answer is yes- you need to feed major vendors  or important people like the officiant, musicians, and photographers.  If you think they may not want to eat you can always touch base with them to see if they would like a meal or not.  Also make sure to check with your catering company or venue to see if they do vendor meals.  Typically they are 50% off which is something I learned only a few weeks before my wedding 🙂

Yes, feed them! We are feeding ours and they really appreciate it.

I just think if I were in there shoes, busy all day and no food. And it is not like the photographer can take off to go get something to eat!

I asked them if they wanted a meal and went from there. If they said no I wouldn’t push it on them.

Re: where to seat the vendors — talk to your caterer. It can depend on the venue, and assuming your caterer is familiar with the venue, he/she should be able to advise you. I didn’t set a table for my vendors, because the venue offered a convenient place for them to sit, in an area separate from the guests.

Any of your vendors who are working during your wedding need to be fed a proper meal. They don’t have time to skip out and head to McD’s in a matter of seconds. Most caterers offer vendor meals which are a sandwich and chips for a fraction of the price of a regular meal or you can offer them the same as your guests.

Sorry I just saw you asked me a question.  I would ask your caterer where to seat them if you have one?  I just made one of the extra tables at the back of the reception room the vendor area.  The band ate on one of their breaks and our photographers were bouncing around so much I don’t know if they ever used the seats or not.  Sometimes they can set up an area in the kitchen depending on your space for vendors to eat.  Ours requested hot meals and we just let them go through the food stations like normal guests but if they are ok with anything or don’t specifiy you could have more of a picnic dinner prepared. Hope this helps!
