My budget for each wedding party member is about $65, and I’d rather give fewer gifts of higher value than several small gifts.
For the 3 groomsmen we are getting a pair of cufflinks & a t-shirt, each are selected to their taste. Is this enough for the men? It ended up costing about $15-20 less than we thought, but I think it’s still a good gift.
For the 2 bridesmaids I’m not sure what to get. I’m sure they’ll be nice about it whatever I get them, but I’d like them to actually like it. They are wearing their own jewelery.
For one of them I got a book & I think I will buy her some makeup that she wears regularly. For another I got a gift card. For the maid of honor I really have no idea. I sort of want to get the maid of honor a kindle (she already has one but it’s a few years old). I guess I could buy it at Best Buy so she could return if she didn’t like it. But I don’t want anyone else to be jealous that she got the best gift. And I want her to like whatever I get her. Problem is, she’s one of those people that has everything she wants, and doesn’t wait around to buy it.
I am considering paying for their hair and/or makeup, but that would cost more than my gift budget.
