To save some money, my fiance and I decided to try to design our own invitations to get printed at a local shop. I would love some feedback on them before we get them printed. I also wanted to add something to the bottom because it looked a tad boring so I tried it with a heart and with some flowers. What do you think looks better? Or something different all together?
Any ideas or suggestions for changes?
Thanks in advance

I like the flowers better. They add just enough detail to make them simple, classy and interesting.
Both look great though! I would consider shrinking down “Holly and Nick” to fully fit on the page. To me it seems a bit strange that the words are falling off the sides.

It’s awesome! (I prefer the flowers!) My only two critiques would be:
1. The type on “Holly and Nick” feels kind of abruptly cut off on the sides. Not that I don’t like it going off the sides of the page, but if you do choose to do that, I’d increase the size a bit so you can’t see where the edges of the H lines curl back around (and also bump it down a little so you see the full loop on the L’s). Otherwise shrinking the text to fit it all inside will look great too!
2. I would increase the leading (the space between the lines) in the body text, and decrease the font size a very little bit to accomodate that space. Might make it a little easier to read, as well as keep your “Holly and Nick” text from being overshadowed!
Otherwise it looks great! And honestly, I’m just being super nitpicky (I’m a graphic designer, can’t help but notice the small things)- at this point you could send it out as-is and I’m sure everyone would still love it!

I agree with PP about the cutoff of your names, and make sure you shrink it enough to leave room for bleed (the edges that they will cut off in the printshop – I think it’s about 1-2 milimeters). Otherwise looks great, awesome job!

NickysGirl14: I like the flower. I’d make the “Holly and Nick” part at the top a color rather than white. Maybe one of the lighter colors in the flowers. Otherwise, you have color at the bottom and almost no where else, so it looks unbalanced.
I also agree with PP’s comment about the text going off the page. I think you either need to make the text larger to make it look more intentional, or shrink it to fit.

NickysGirl14: Hmmmm…. it’s a tough one because I think they’re both pretty! But I’d probably go with the flowers. And I think you shouldn’t have blocked anything on it so we could all show up for the reception! Lol!
