In general I don’t keep what I consider fast food in my house.  You know like already prepared foodlike chips, cookies, and such cause I figure if I have to go through the process to cook it then I will only do it when I’m hungry.  It has really cut down on my bored eating.  Have you thought about going to the gym before work.  Yeah it feels like a pain to wake up that early to workout, but after you get in the habit of doing it then it really gets easier and you feel better.  Also you could post an old picture of you on your bathroom mirror as a sort of motivation to get back to where you want to be.  Since you are living with your FMIL could you talk her into walking about the block with you a few times at night, like after work or dinner.  Having someone to buddy up wiht makes a huge difference.  Good luck!!!!!

Haha yeahhhh that would be a little too early then!  How close are you to work?  Can you ride a bike to work or walk?  I know it sounds cheesey, but what about getting those Shape Up shoes, they have others like them too that are cheaper.  Since you are on your feet all day might as well wear a shoe that tones!

Have you considered pilates? I have three DVDs that I rotate and it has changed my life! It’s low impact and I don’t sweat so much that I have to shower and make a big deal of it. I can even do the workout in my pajamas and then get ready for my day. I noticed an immediate difference after one workout, and I started writing in my planner to keep track of my workouts. Writing it down really makes you do it more often.

As for food, make sure you are getting tons of lean protein, fiber, and a moderate amount of whole grains every day. Chicken, cottage cheese, greek yogurt, turkey are all great sources of protein. Whole grain pita bread, whole grain bread, whole wheat pasta are great for fiber and whole grains. Apples and popcorn are great sources of fiber. And fiberone bars are sooo great when you’re craving something sweet.

When eating out, consider ordering an omelette and ask for less cheese. Or a salad with the dressing on the side is another option. Broth based soups are also a good idea.

A awesome website for recipe ideasis hungrygirl.com. There’s awesome chicken strip and onion ring recipes, nachos, tacos, desserts, shakes.

Stay motivated! I have to remind myself every day to keep going 🙂
