Totally honest? I LITERALLY see no difference, other than the belt. It’s a gorgeous dress and you look fantastic in it! I wouldn’t bother losing the 5 pounds, if I were you!

ETA: ok, just spent another 3 minutes going back and forth between the two pictures and I think in the sample the bust was larger, but that’s because it didn’t fit.

I know that the inner voice doesn’t always listen to reason, even from people who know what they’re talking about!!!!! But seriously, you look great in that dress. Give yourself a break! Stop looking at the pictures and move on to the next thing on your planning list!

<br />I think you look incredible in your dress… the only difference I see between the pics is maybe your dress was pulled a little bit tighter around your knees in the sample one.  You could always have that altered on your dress to get that shape but honestly its so minimal I dont think it would make a huge difference.  I think the sample pic and your dress pic are both beautiful.

Oh my goodness! You look seriously gorgeous! I think the dress (now) fits perfectly, you have curves in all the right places, and as someone who is straight up and down I am SO jealous!  I actually think though, from the pics, that the thinner belt is making a big difference to how the dress looks.  I think maybe the smaller belt is a bit lost, whereas the thicker one brought a bit more definition to your lovely thin waist.  Just my opinion though! I understand where you are coming from regarding the dress regret (I came on this forum today to post about my dress regret!), but I think it is normal when you put so much into something that you will feel some stress about it. But you don’t need to worry, just listen to the people around you who are telling you it looks beautiful and think of how blown away your partner is going to be when he sees you!

First of all, STUNNING dress. You absolutely in NO WAY look frumpy or blocky.

That being said, I do notice the difference between the two and I’m thinking it’s a combination of the belt and the bust being bigger on the sample. I wonder if you were to try on that same belt with it if it would give you a more similar shape to the sample because the belt in the sample is thicker and is placed a bit lower.

I wonder if they can take in your dress below the knees a little more to give you more of that mermaid look.

BTW–I’m going through the same thing. The sample dress I tried on was about a half size too small at the time, so we ordered 2 sizes up for some reason. When I had my first fitting, the dress literally almost fell off me because I’ve lost weight. It looks sooo bag lady and frumpy now. I feel horrible about it and wonder if I’ll ever look good in it again!

I think the dress looks great!!

Yes, there are a few small details that are different, but not much. As PP mentioned, the wider belt looks better and maybe have them pull in closer to the knees (of course only if you can walk!).

You have a fabulous figure and the dress flatters it!

I agree with PP who said the biggest difference is the belt. I actually think the bust on your for real dress looks better the sample! It looks like it fits you better. But I think maybe your pretty waist is more defined with a wider sash/belt than the smaller one you have on in the picture above.

But you look gorgeous in that dress and I don’t think you look blocky at all! The lace is beautiful and you look so feminine and pretty.

kimmo416:  I see a bit of a difference. My first guess would be, were you standing on a pedastal the first time, when you tried on the sample? That would make it look longer in the legs and therefore slimmer.

But you look absolutely fantastic! I wouldn’t change a thing.

To start, your dress is gorgeous and you looking amazing in it. Its very flattering and I agree with others that maybe it is the belt.

I dont want to sound stupid saying this but could you maybe feel blocky and frumpy because the sample dress fabric was alot softer? I had a similar problem when I was deciding what to do with my dress regret and a huge factor was that the sample dress had been handled so much and cleaned several times that it was alot softer. I felt like my dress was very stiff, the way that we were going to fix it was to steam it several times. Not just once.

In the end dont be too critical because you do look great 🙂

You look great! Seriously! Just get it taken in a bit so it is as tight as the sample. I’m sure if you show the steamstress the two pictures she will know what to do. I think the biggest difference in the photos is the lighting and your posture.

Your new dress looks great!! It seems to me like the sample was pulled a bit tighter around your waist and legs, if that makes sense? Alterations could probably sort that out in no time! Although I think there’s nit really much need to do it. I would add a wider belt and see if that chnges anything

seriously, GORGEOUS dress! So so pretty! The only difference I see is that your bust looks bigger in the sample and it looks tighter around the knee area.
