    Hi Bees,

I've been going to Crossfit 3-4 times a week for the past 3 weeks.  I got on the scale this morning and I've GAINED 3 lbs! I've been eating clean and making sure I get 1500-1600 calories a day.  I want to cry, I'm not sure why I'm not losing weight...

    Maybe you are gaining muscle?

Take measurements and track those over time.  Neck, hip, waist, arm, and thigh measurements are better indicators of progress than the scale.  Are your clothes fitting differently?  Do you feel stronger and more energetic?  Being healthy doesn't correlate with the number on the scale, so hang in there and don't give up!!

Thats very common. When I started going to the gym again, the scale said I gained 5 lbs after the first month, but by the second i was down 10! Its your muscle, women gain muscle fast, but that muscle will help you lose weight down the line. Frusterating i know, but go off how your clothes fit! Keep track of your measurements!

Thanks girls!  That makes me feel a little bit better - I'll def take some measurements and see if that changes in the next few weeks....

Muscle, muscle, muscle! This has happened to me too. Then, after a few weeks, I dropped a bunch of lbs! It's good! It makes you lose inches and look leaner! Definitely take measurements... bet you will see some good progress there :)
