I’m not sure of the proper forum to post this – and I’m embarrassed that “Lone Survivor” is what made me feel this way – but I want to reach out to every military wife/mom/daughter/son/cousin/sister/brother/etc. that has someone serving in the military and just hug you.
I just watched Lone Survivor (which made me sob) and then read all about the real-life heros (and that made me cry even more). I sometimes forget how much people sacrifice to keep all of us safe and I simply want to say thank you. I don’t know how those of you with husbands/wives/boyfriends/brothers in the military do it…I can’t even imagine how hard the distance must be. I just really want to say thank you.
I’m sorry for the awkward/emotional post :/ it just really hit me tonight!

Laur12: I am sure they all thank you too. My Fiance was in the Army for 4 years, 2 that we were together and my brother was for 8 and has been out for 2. Support is definitely always appreciated.

Know that your sentiments are gratefully appreciated. Males in my family have served our country in every conflict since the revolution and for at least 4 generations every male has served.
Every time I see a veteran, usually by them wearing their vet hats, I take the time to shake his/her hand and thank them for their service.
