So I usually take my e-ring off when I go to sleep and put it right back on my finger after I finish getting ready in the morning.  This morning as I was leaving my house, I'm thinking to myself...hmmm somethings off, as I'm getting on my train this morning and look down and realized that I forgot to my e-ring, and now I my finger not only looks weird without it, but my finger also feels naked!

Anyone else feel like this when they forget their e-ring?

completely!  i do the same thing as you (I scratch myself with it in my sleep otherwise).  I rarely forget it, but when I do it feels so wrong!

I'm completely with you. When I got my e-ring resized (I was wearing it on my thumb it was sooo big!) I cried when we left the jeweler. I was without for a full week.....in vain.

    I've forgotten before :(

Once it sucked and I was without it the whole day and I was SO SURE I'd never do it again...and then one awful, rushing morning...I did! Luckily that day my future hubs (works right by me) came and dropped it off before the day got going :) yayy! he's the best

I definitely do. I always like to spin my ring around my finger (mostly when it's cold - my hands dry up a bit).  So I find myself trying to spin a ring that isn't there!

yes! i hated being without it for the two weeks that it was being resized so much that i bought myself a 'temp' one for $150, haha (i can just wear it as a cute little right-hand ring later)!  and then i got it back and it was STILL too big, even after they had sized my finger AT the jeweler! man was i pissed. back to the 'temp'. :(

Oh completely, I just vented to the hive about this a few days ago. I had my ring for a total of 48 hours before I had to relinquish it! The jewelers initially said it would take 2 days to resize the ring but now they are sending it out. I won't see it for another 10-14 days :(. I was just getting used to it but on the bright side my FI said I'll be so excited when it comes back it will be like a second proposal! I like the idea of a temp ring!

Totally agreed - I felt so naked when I forgot mine one day a few weeks ago. I won't deny that I considered running home to get it!

Looks like I wasn't the only one who felt like that!  I had to be e-ring less for two weeks after I got engaged b/c I had to get it resized with a different band and after that expereince I vowed that I wouldn't be without it...ooops!  I felt much better today at work with my ring on!

@WorstTwinEver15 I do the same thing!  Cant wait till its warm out and my ring doesn't spin around.

Mine is at the jeweler for the next 2 weeks so they can make my wedding band to match...so sad!

I just got mine back after it was at the jeweler for 3 weeks while they made the matching bands.  I HATED it!  I bought a fake one to be my "stunt double" and that made me feel a bit better.  I found a great one at inspired silver (online), for those of you who need a fake one in the meantime :)

I was without my ring for a month and a half, and I just got it back last week. My diamond was loose right before we went to FMIL's for Christmas, so I left it home for that 2 weeks. Then when I came back, it was at the jeweler's to get the prongs repaired and to get the matching wedding band made.

I wore another ring as a replacement, but I missed looking down and seeing MY ring. Plus I couldn't show any of my FI's relatives in DC the ring, since I had to leave it at home :(

I feel ya!  I need to have all my prongs checked, have everything tightened and get both rings re-dipped - but I keep putting it off because I don't want to part with them even for a day or two!!!!

I'm probably just new to it, so I feel quite the opposite.  It feels so strange having something on my finger.. :)  But maybe some time from now, I'll feel the same way

@Shutterfly: Just wait.  After a while it will come to seem a part of you.

Just after this post, I left on a business trip for the week and LEFT my rings at home!!! Gah!  I had this underlying sadness about it the whole time. I hated it.  The minute I walked in the door I put on my rings and took a deep breath with a happy sigh. :)
