We were married at the Bellagio in Las Vegas 5/12/12. It was an amazing day and we were able to enjoy it all and spend time with our guests. Having a destination wedding keeps the guest list smaller and we loved it!! We just invited close family and friends. A destination wedding was perfect for us, since most of our family and friends live out-of-state. Our guests were very excited that their plane ticket destination was in Vegas. From the food, flowers, service, and atmosphere –we had a blast.
For centerpieces, we used the flower buckets in the chepel that were the pew markers, and wrote names and table #’s on cookies with a design that was from our invitations. We only had a few tables, so instead of numbering them, we chose Las Vegas and wedding themed names suh as: Vegas, Chapel, Love, Elvis, and “I Do”. I have heard that some people become offended with the # on their table if their # was the last one, so giving them fun names was a sure way to avoid this. It was also a way to personalize the wedding a bit because we kept it simple so we wouldn’t have to stress about too much being so far away in the planning. The Chapel wedding staff and Catering Coordinator were very accommodating and made the planning easy.
We were obligated to use the Bellagio photographer in the Chapel, and the pictures came out great. We also hired another photographer (Joe Photo) and he was amazing to work with. I was looking at the photos today, and decided to share some pics. They make me smile as so many fun moments were captured. Thought I would share because I love looking at Recaps.

@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: @Blush.Champagne: @RoyalLime: Thank you!
My computer is acting slow so I had to post a few at a time. L ove the background in this pic below, and I am posting a pic of a funny moment. I over threw my bouquet and a guy caught it!!! He ran around with it in his mouth and we died from laughing. They had me throw it again so a lady could catch it. BUT the man was meant to catch it because later that night, he won $5,000 on a slot machine, ran to Tiffany’s and proposed to his girlfriend!!! What a great engagement story.

@hiroshymatetrastar: Thank you, they are Electra by Benjamin Adams. It was Las Vegas so I had to have the bling!! Plus they made me 4″ taller. 🙂
@PuntaCanaBride: Thanks, the make-up was airbrushed and it took them minutes to do. Best decision ever.
@vorpalette: I tried on a few simple dresses that were aweful on me and then started trying on some of the biggest/poofiest dresses in the store, even if they were horrific, just for fun. The people in the store were giving me the weirdest looks thinking that I was serious about them. It made for FUNNY pics when you see the pic of me in the horrid dress and their scrunched up faces in the background!!! lol Some how that got me liking all the ruffles, and I was surprised that it fit so well.
