I was recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and have been put on medication for it. I am also going for tests (blood work, endoscopy, and a colonoscopy) to try and find out why I am having stomach issues. Possible diagnoses for that could include Celiac disease, IBS, or Crohn’s. I’m terrified to go for those tests as I don’t want there to be something else wrong with me but I have a lot of stomach issues so I know there must be.
I have been reading too much information about hypothyroidism and the potential stomach diagnoses I think. I am just sick with worry thinking about the things I have wrong with me at a young age and I am concerned about potentially taking several medications. I’ve also read that hypothyroidism can cause issues with getting pregnant and if your levels aren’t right while pregnant it can hurt the baby, which scares me also.
I don’t know the purpose of writing this post, just had to get it out there
