- Wedding: June 2012
My mother is not involved in my wedding planning. I’m fine with this as I live 7 hours away from her and I’m in my 30s. She’s also very serious and intense. She’s not a “girlfriend” type…she’s my mother.
She’s coming down to Virginia this weekend to see my wedding venue and scope out the hotel where I blocked rooms. I’m a little annoyed because she sprung this on me with about a week’s notice and I only have one week at home this month due to business trips.
Anyway, I shared with her that I want 5 of my 7 neices/nephews to be in the bridal party, but that I’ll ask all 7 because I don’t want to hear the feelings of the last two (my brother’s children…my brother has distanced himself).
My mother has been pressuring me to call my brother and ask him if his children can be in the party. To be frank, I’m nervous about it. He’s not the most communicative person and his wife is high drama.
Part of me wishes I could just email them, but I realize that would be pretty bad.
Ugh. Anyone want to call them pretending to be me? You can ask them for me?
