that’s the way I’m feeling. The freak out yesterday over the hotels I think was just the straw that broke the camels back. I moved into a new job after the snobbiness of my last job, but it’s a contract job. 10 weeks. Well 10 weeks are flying by and then what? No job. (they did say I could apply for the position permanently but they don’t hire out of here, they do it in CA via video phone). My lease is up on my townhouse and the landlord wants to increase the rent by $400. a month because his mortgage is going up. All of that and planning the wedding.

I have no idea how to decompress other than long hot baths and falling asleep. On top of all that, I’m constantly hungry! I could eat a couple of cows and a few tons of Jelly Beans. I keep thinking "you’re not gonna fit in your dress" … anyhow, sorry for venting, but… the only thing I can think of to do is take a week off from planning. Just have a normal (or as close to normal) time. I told FI that I wanted to go on a date. WTF happened to our dates? We don’t have them anymore. Maybe it’s because of winter?  I dunno, but I want a date darn it!!!

i like the gym, especially the "boxing dummie" to release my aggression – and then i follow it with some chocolate ice cream – defeats the calories i burn, but im much more sane after!!

I’m with you – I wish people would make their own decisions from time to time, you know?

Hang in there, I am –  we’ll get through it all together!

Oooooh, and then every time you make a decision somebody is less than thrilled with it.  I had a little tantrum last week (okay, maybe not so little) and told my FI and my mom that it is hard enough doing the research and ordering the samples and considering all the possibilities, and when I show them something that I am excited about I expect a little enthusiasm!!!  If they hate all the choices so much, they can buy a few magazines or go online and find some different options.  And guess what?  They totally shaped up (at least for now).  Everybody it telling me how hard they know I am working, how much they appreciate it, and how they particularly like this or that…  probably they just don’t want me going postal on them again.  (My FI keeps saying "Ease down, Ripley.")

This weekend during the superbowl am going to cut up all my rejected sample invitations and favor boxes into little heart-shaped pieces and make valentines.  I have too damn much sample paper sitting around.  It will be satisfying.

Oh girls – do I hear you. Not in quite the predicament som eof you are.   HBut last night I was just so burnt out and exhausted from everything.  Trying to sneakl in a few hours of wedding planning while at work, before work, or after work/gym.  I was so wired last night that the FI had to give me some benedrly and Xanax to go to bed.  Hang in there!

I’m feeling it, too.  6 months to go.  I think I’m going to take a 1 week break from planning.  Of course I’ll still read WB, but I won’t do another damn wedding thing.  Because it’s just one day.  We don’t need to put all this pressure on ourselves!

Ugh, I’m feeling it. I dread my morning phone call from my mom with her list of things she wants me to do. Like I want to start the day like that! And I don’t want to do the things she wants me to do! It got so bad that last night I dreamed that my mom made me get married waaay before our date in her backyard in my dress that hasn’t been altered and I woke up furious!! haha. Not only my wedding but ALL and I mean ALL of my fiance’s friends (and his sister) got engaged right after we did and they ALL set a date before ours so I have to deal with seven weddings before mine. I’m burnt out and "wedding season" hasn’t even started.

Then everyone you see asks you "isn’t wedding planning so fun? you must be loving it!" haha yeah go away.

Yes, and "You must be soooo excited!"  Of course I am.  And stressed out, and exhausted…  I have to try to remember to make time to be excited.  It happens mostly when I am not thinking about the actual wedding.  I’m excited for it to be over – I’m excited to be married.

Hoo boy. I’m feeling it too. Three weeks to go, and still so much to do! Table numbers and stands for them, escort cards, programs, ordering flowers to pick up three days before wedding day (we’re going small and simple with flowers), guest book, favors. Day-of schedule for the photographer. Find a rehearsal dinner dress. Put together a song list for the iPod (thank God we’re having just a sit-down dinner and no dancing, or I’d be bald from pulling my hair out over this one). Not to mention making my veil. AND…I want to have it all done by 1 week <span class=”Apple-style-span” style=”font-style: italic”>before the wedding, so I won’t be going insane and getting no sleep those last few days. Ahem. Yes, I know I’m already there.

Maybe we can help- most of us have DIY’ed something on the computer so we might have templates you can use…

For example- if you are using pocketfolders from cardsandpocketsstore.com I have a templates for the inserts 6.75, 5.75 and 4.75 (reply). If you want, PM me your email address and I’ll email them to you. Basically I cut down 8.5×11 paper into strips of 3.5 (longwise to get 3 per sheet) then set my options in MS word to a specific envelope size that is 3.56" x some weird long number, but set the margins to be of the size I was cutting down (the length) so after they are printed, I will then cut the 8" down to the various lengths and it will be the 3.5" width. I know this sounds stupid, but my printer wouldn’t print right on anything custom less than 4×6 I believe.

Anyhow I feel your pain! I’ve been up til 2am all week trying to get this crap done b/c these should have been in the mail weeks ago!
