I always laugh when Punam Bean calls her husband Hus-Bone, but it's so "her" thing I don't think I could use it! :)
I'm a fan of hubs. I am pretty comfortable with the full word "husband" though... just hated the word "Fiance" SO SO MUCH!!!!
I call him my "partner" now... He calls me his "wife"... Maybe someday I'll get used to the word, but until then, partner is fine.
I hated the word fiance too, Pengy! I felt so pretentious using it. I also use Hubs, but Husband doesn't bug me as much as fiance did.
I HATE fiance! It sounds so pretentious and upity! I usually refer to my guy as "hubby" and I think that will continue after we get married too.
I haven't found a good fit. I'm FAR more comfortable calling him my husband than I ever was with fiance, but still. He calls me his wife-a-roo, which is awesome, and makes husband seem so boring.
I am so excited to be able to call him my husband! But, I do think that once it comes time to actually say it, it will take some time to get used to!!

We're so weird now that we're married. I call him hubs or hubband when I'm talking to him, but I'll say "my husband" if I'm talking to someone else. He sometimes calls me wifey.
I HATED fiance, so I'm glad to finally call him husband. I refer to his as hubby more often, though, because it just feels more casual. Just to crack the hubby up sometimes I'll be like, "Hey Boooooy friend!"
Huz? I kinda like husband. Way better than "boyfriend" or "fiance." For some reason, it always felt weird for me to say "boyfriend."
I can't say fiance, except on the boards. What's annoying is I'll call him my BF & people correct me all the time! "Don't you mean your fiance?" or the best: "Your bf? Hmm what does your FI think about him?" lol
I can't wait to say husband! Like with anything, it takes time to get used to it :)
I call him The Hubs when I'm talking about him sometimes because I think it's kinda funny.
I don't like to say fiancee. I don't know why. It has felt like "almost" for so long that I think I'm over it. But I think I'll feel weird to say husband for real. Everyone at our church that isn't close to us calls him my husband anyway. But it catches me off guard to hear it.
And I always hated saying "my fiance" because it reminded me of that Seinfeld episode where Elaine is annoyed with the woman at the party for constantly saying "my fee-AHHHH-say." You know, the "maybe the dingo ate your baby" episode.
I always felt like such a tool when I said it.
I can't wait to be able to call him my husband, but at the same time, it send butterflies to my stomach when I do.. :) I pick around sometimes and already call him my husband... I like Husband better than Fiance....maybe that will change when we actually tie the knot in december!
"Where is my fianceeee? I just can't find my fianceeee. Poor baby. I've LOST my fianceeEEEEE." Hahahahahaha.
Saying husband still feels a little weird but it's a good weird!
Just got used to 'boyfriend' (gag) when we got engaged. So I find myself saying 'boyfriend' still. Fiance makes me gag more! Jeesh - you'd think after looking forward to it for so long I'd be dropping 'fiance' in every sentence!
I am TOTALLY all over 'husband' - that will be a breeze and it will just sound and feel so much more natural than boyfriend or fiance. Cannot wait...
(now being someone's 'wife??? that will be another story altogether!)
I haven't gotten used to it yet. I usually stutter and then say husband. I didn't like to say fiance and boyfriend, well boyfriend was fine for a bit but after the three year mark it sounded a bit to unserious. So I need to get used to husband otherwise it comes out My Hisname. He usually refers to me as 'my wife' in Borats voice.
Hated fiance too! Ever see the Seinfeld episode: "my fianceeeee"?
I love the idea of "husband" and will be fine with husband once I get used to it. I feel like sort of a poser using it now for some reason, since we've only been married a few wks : )
I think husband sounds weird when I say it, I guess it is just because I'm not used to it yet! I'm still having trouble remembering to not write my maiden name!!! But I love the fact that I have a husband now and not a fiance!!
I'm another one who hated fiance. I tend to use hubs in print and husband when speaking.
People correct me all the time. I always still call him my boyfriend. Sometimes when I remember, I pause right before saying "This is A, my....fiance!". Hahaha I know he doens't take it the wrong way though :)
