I was about size 12-14 pre-pregnancy and I had a definite noticeable bump at 16 weeks. I feel like I started showing around 13-14 weeks though. Keep in mind I’m only 5 ft tall. I think it has more to do with height than weight.

I’m about the same size as you pre preg. size 12 and about 5’7″.  I had a little tummy until about 24 weeks or so– like I just ate too many burgers. Even at my shower 3 weeks ago (around 28 weeks) I got tons of comments on how I wasn’t really showing much. I’m 31 weeks now and definitely have strangers commenting on my belly– so it’s unmistakeable now. It is my first babe and I’m carrying high, so that might be part of it, too.

I’m 5’5″ and am (was?) a size 10-12, and my close friends started commenting around 15 weeks. I feel like I didn’t have a visibly round, strangers-know-I’m pregnant-belly until maybe 24 weeks?

Now at almost 30 weeks, the stranger comments are usually along the lines of, “Getting close huh?!” and I’m like, yeahno, thanks….

I am 5’7″ and was a size 12 pre-pregnancy. I started to show to myself around 13 weeks, to my husband around 14 weeks, and to my friends/family around 15 weeks. I first had a stranger ask me if I was expecting when I was about 16 weeks. I am now almost 21 weeks and it is pretty obvious!

Everyone truly is different. Everything I read said that based on my size and height I would likely not be showing until 20-25 weeks. I also have an anterior placenta and was told I likely wouldn’t feel the baby until around 22 weeks. I have been feeling her since 16 weeks (flutters) and able to feel/see kicks from the outside since 18 weeks!

ETA: I should add that I lost about 13 lbs during my first trimester, and am only now almost back to where I started, but even as I was losing weight my pants stopped fitting, so I think most of my weight-loss was not in my belly.

@Evie19:   I was a US size 12 (NZ size 16) before pregnancy and am an apple body shape, so carried a bit of weight on my tummy already and I definitely didn’t have a strong core!! I’m 5’5″. I had some wicked bloat between weeks 6 – 10 and then I started to show about Week 11. Late this week (12) I feel like I’ve popped a lot, my husband commented on the nicely rounded shape of my belly and said I finally looked pregnant not just like I ate too many pies! It’s different for everyone but I’m definitely someone who shows early.

Here’s a pic from Week 11.

@Evie19:   Thank you! It’s a total mind shift though and it’s taken some getting used to! All the books say you shouldn’t be showing etc and that freaked me out because I was and thought I was just getting super fat… I’m embracing it more but it’s definitely been a challenge to my body image!

@Evie19:  I was a size 12 when I got pregnant with my first. I hid it quite well until I was about 5 months, then I was for sure showing.
